I don’t mind it. Realistically with his not so great season and salary attached he would have never brought back any great prospects unless they ate a lot of the salary which they wouldn’t do so it would have been just a salary dump with no decent return

Interesting how many of the bfibs are so accepting of players who are not committed to winning.iowa blues fan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2025 22:11 pmMaybe his family and children and what’s best for them is most important to him.
But of course you wouldn’t understand that.

I have no problem with Gray using his NTC. The problem is that the Cardinals (Mo) signed too many players with a no trade clause. Gray is paid a lot of money for a team looking to cut payroll. I don't think he is worth it but he earned the right to stay in St. Louis if he wants to.

Well known, nothing new here.
He and WillyC want to be here, glad to have them helping out the younger players.

They aren't stuck. They signed a contract for the only possible TOR pitcher they have, who can strikeout hittersKeeptheRamsinSTL wrote: ↑28 Jul 2025 20:13 pm This is from mlbtraderumors.com
"The 35-year-old Gray declined to elaborate beyond the mere fact that he and Mozeliak had recently talked about the matter. However, MLB.com’s John Denton reports that during that conversation, the right-hander again conveyed that he prefers to stay in St. Louis — at least for the remainder of the current season. Barring a late change of heart, it seems Gray will remain with the Cardinals for the balance of the regular season."

Who else did they sign with NTC on this roster that upset you?KeeptheRamsinSTL wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 07:49 amI have no problem with Gray using his NTC. So Goold says the cardinals will have a quiet spending off season, and if they somehow could dump SG contract , they would do it? The people saying this is nothing but payroll cutting seem to be totally right. Looks like 2026 will be a wasted season under the guise of resetting money for Bloom, but yet they will be quiet and not spend it lol. More dry powder baby!!
