OK, first - my bad. I was totally looking at Nolan Arenado, and I'm not sure why. So, my apologies.

On Sonny... ZiPS projection has him at 1.6 fWAR in 2026. FWIW.

You're good. I'd agree that at best Nolan Arenado is a pure salary dump. Even if the Cardinals bought down some of the remaining salary, I don't think they'd get much in return for him. And that projection for Sonny Gray in 2026 seems rather pessimistic. They're expecting him to deal with injury issues. I mean, it's not a bad gamble to make given his age but that seems pessimistic at best. They're projecting him at 128.7 innings, and he's only done that 3 seasons excluding his rookie year and this year.
