I've never seen this many pitches right over the heart of the plate, especially two games in a row. Now they can be sellers at the deadline without anyone questioning their motives.

Well, the reason why they would tell him to is obvious. Better draft position comes with the losses. It's true they have pride and wouldn't partake of throwing a game most likely. It's also true that moral and lack of talent can sink a team as fast as anything. When things are going bad and ownership won't step up it only makes matters worse. And make no mistake, ownership has planned this losing. As for the meatballs? Well, did you watch the games? Sure looked like center cut prime rib to me. I'm sure it's just a bad series and lack of talent.
