I’m not concerned with but one height. How high his fastball rides in the zone. My only height issue.

Yeah, there are a few with great success
even below 6'0".

It’s more than a few.

Koufax and Spahn already mentioned…

Fernando Valenzuela - 5’11”
Johan Santana - 6’0”
Vida Blue - 6’0”
Mike Cuellar - 6’0”
Tom Glavine - 6’0”

Jerry Koosman - 6’2”
Frank Tanana - 6’2”
Lefty Grove - 6’3”
I meant the current crop of pitchers, not all time.
I already named the majority of the current crop of top lefty pitchers, and Skubal is inarguably the best of the best.

The average height of MLB pitchers in 2025 is approx. 6' 2.5". Doyle is listed at 6' 2".

So, he's below average height.
I thought that may be the case.
Thanks for the info.

I know you did.
That's why I said there are a few.

The ABS system has already helped us realize that everyone lied about their height. Pitchers will continue to do so.

Is Sandy 6'2" (pictured next to Don Sutton, listed at 6'1")?

A little on the shorter side, but not so much that I'm concerned about it.

My only concern is how quickly he can learn to cut 10mph off his fastball and pitch to contact. If he can do that, he could be in AAA as early as 2030.

I'm also curious about whether he could learn to play OF. Or catcher?

I’m not sure that’s changed. I’ve bumped into more than a few players that clearly do not match their listed height.

+1. I've gone to Spring Training 24 times. I noticed as you do that heights are often off the mark. You stand near or along the fence and they are in the dugout and, I'm 6'0", and there are many players shorter.
