I like Jacob...I think we have a lot options in the 3rd round.Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 21:12 pmJacob Parker, just because. I am pretty lost at this point in the draft.
Or, I don't know, is there a safer college bat? Maybe that guy.

I like the Franklin pick. That fastball is absolutely demonic.

yeah it is, Strummer. That one got me excited. Tennessee really worked with him to make him better in 2025, and it worked. Anxious to see what he has in the Pros. Could work really well with Bloom's R&D guys in the minorsStrummer Jones wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025 21:13 pm I like the Franklin pick. That fastball is absolutely demonic.

Long day.... some good picks. Quite a change from the recent previous Flores drafts. There's some Bloom feel to this, imo. Maybe I'm wrong.

Jack Gurevitch
A hitter. LH Bat. 1B
#90 on BAs list
A hitter. LH Bat. 1B
#90 on BAs list
School: San Diego Drafted/Committed: Never Drafted
Age At Draft: 21.4
BA Grade: 45/High
Gurevitch has been a steady performer for San Diego since arriving on campus in 2023. He made the All-West Coast Conference freshman team in 2023, was one of four San Diego players to start all 56 games in 2024 and was a Cape Cod League all-star in the summer of 2024. He leveled up once again in 2025 with a .371/.477/.681 slash line, 17 home runs and a 15.5% walk rate—all career bests. Listed at 6-feet, 215 pounds, Gurevitch has an average build with strength in his lower half and a somewhat unique setup. He sits deep in his base and has a high handset with an operation that is generally easy and under control. Gurevitch simply knows how to hit. He drives the ball where it’s pitched, uses all fields and has solid power to all fields, with above-average juice to the pull side. Gurevitch can hammer a fastball, though scouts noted that he struggled at times against the best arms he faced. He might need more reps against elite 93+ mph velocity, which he saw less frequently than power conference hitters. Gurevitch has played some third and might be able to play left, though first base is his primary position and most likely defensive home.
Scouting Grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 50 | Run:40 | Field: 45 | Arm: 50.
