I love Broberg and Holloway, and I'm glad we have them.

Stealing great players from other team's benches is great---UNTIL YOU ASK YOURSELF THE QUESTION... How is that other team's bench players are better than anyone on my active roster?
You know the answer, and so does everyone else. How is it half the league does not make the playoffs? How is it the President's Cup team went 2OT in Game 7 against the Blues and then got bounced? How is it Teams like Tampa Bay and Vegas don't keep winning Cups every season?

It's a dumb question.

You keep saying this. They were very young and both performed well in the playoffs when in the lineup. The youngest defenseman on FLA's roster was 28. One of those defenseman was Mikkola who the Blues took in the 5th round.

Look up and down their lineup, and the only top performers they drafted were Barkov and Ekblad. Kulikov was drafted by them in 2009. The only other guy is Lundell who is now 23 and drafted in 2020.

There are at least 3 players who were undrafted.

How is it that other team's throw-aways or those deemed unworthy of being drafted are not bench players on FLA's SC Champion roster?

On that vein, there are too many teams now, so I hope the NHL does not expand to more teams again. It is difficult enough to win the Cup and get top
Draft choices. The Blues have seemed to pick up other team’s high draft choices and see if a “change in scenery” helps restore the player who was drafted very high. Sometimes it works -sometimes it doesn’t. You just don’t know how player will form at the NHL level.
Carbonneau seems similar enough to Snuggerud. Snuggy shows good signs of making it and staying in the NHL, but these things take years to find out, so I don’t think the grades make any difference.

This wasn't the draft for grades. Everyone had way different views after the top end.
In reality this wasn't the draft to pick a player. This was the draft to trade that first away for team needs or a couple of seconds would of been nice.

Anyway I think we picked one of the bpa. and that's what we should be doing.
