I’m good with Carbonneau. Was hoping for a C or RD ideally but he’s very talented.

I think they go Carbonneau
I'm hoping for Carbonneau, and they trade Kyrou for more picks
I wouldn’t be shocked at all if this pushes them to move Kyrou.

But Perron made the jump to the NHL after the draft...don;t think Carbonneau is in that league, but who knows. I like the pick.

The next Perron …

That was a great pick. That was BPA. I never thought he'd have been available and no way he would've got past Montreal at 16-17 if they had kept those, the pressure would have ben too great with two picks.

They have now drafted a RW in 2021, 2022, 2025 with their first round picks

Although he’s not a power forward in the purest sense, he can hit, retrieve pucks, protect them, and drive them right to the cage. Operating away from the puck, Carbonneau displays a honed ability to create space for himself and receive pucks. Adapting his speed to stay in passing lanes, circling behind defenders, and popping in pockets at just the right time, he catches and rifles pucks easily past the goalie, his deep skating posture and puck control adding power and precision to his shot. -EliteProspects 2025 NHL Draft Guide
