2025 NHL Draft GDT
We might as well have a thread for the picks as they start rolling out.
Pure gut sense, I think we are drafting Hensler or Nesbitt

Re: 2025 NHL Draft GDT
Those that are more in the know with the draft, how often are deals made there? I know when we had our 3 draft picks I was looking for us to trade our 2nd two for a player and the whole first round went crickets.
I think Army making it known that we are only willing to trade for RFA or player with term has made it a little more difficult to do business. But, I do think there might be a little more action during the draft since these guys are all on their home base in places of comfort. You do miss the being shoulder to shoulder hanging out at the hotels before hand setting up trade stuff.
Any info there on in draft action?

Thanks for your post.
I wish Kimzey would post his ratings or mock here.

Nice to know that the Blues have already aced this draft with our 2nd rd pick of Broberg and 3rd rounder Holloway. Could make it an A++ with a solid pick tonight.

And yep, there’s already been trades that have screwed up my mock and I’m sure there will be a lot more coming too. Sounds like we should expect lots of picks to move.

Re: 2025 NHL Draft GDT
That’s a good way of looking at it. We already got Broberg and Holloway out of this draft AND should get a good prospect at 19 too. The 5th and 6th tomorrow will be the usual late round magic beans but you never know there either.hornetfb52 wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:20 pm Nice to know that the Blues have already aced this draft with our 2nd rd pick of Broberg and 3rd rounder Holloway. Re: 2025 NHL Draft GDT
I am a little disappointed I thought the blues would unload Faulk or Leddy for some draft capital. I know it still can happen I just thought it would be done if it was going to happen… curious what they’re worth? 2nd/3rd idk

Re: 2025 NHL Draft GDT
I’m the farthest thing from a hockey professional, but to my untrained eyes, I think it would be more likely we would have to attach a draft pick to unload those contracts. I could be way off on that though.TampaBlues78 wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:35 pm I am a little disappointed I thought the blues would unload Faulk or Leddy for some draft capital. Re: 2025 NHL Draft GDT
Thoughts on whether we come out of this draft with a goaltender? Anyone to target in the 5th or 6th? It's been a minute since we've drafted one and would be nice to have an under 21 prospect again. Even if it is a flyer on a longer-term option.

Re: 2025 NHL Draft GDT
Why were you expecting this? Seems unreasonable. Leddy isn’t super needed anymore but until they actually upgrade Faulk’s position, they better not send him anywhere.TampaBlues78 wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:35 pm I am a little disappointed I thought the blues would unload Faulk or Leddy for some draft capital. Re: 2025 NHL Draft GDT
I think we have internal replacements that’ll step up. If we are dangling Kyrou why can’t Faulk or Leddy be traded and you think we can’t get a 2nd or 3rd for them?STL fan in MN wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:39 pmWhy were you expecting this? Seems unreasonable. Absolutely. And, due to our continued success in this range and beyond, I give a pre-draft grade of A+ already.hornetfb52 wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:20 pm Nice to know that the Blues have already aced this draft with our 2nd rd pick of Broberg and 3rd rounder Holloway. I think it's interesting that NHL.com hasn't updated the draft board with the Dobson trade yet.
