Would you give up a 2nd or 3rd for Leddy? Of course not.TampaBlues78 wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:35 pm I am a little disappointed I thought the blues would unload Faulk or Leddy for some draft capital. I know it still can happen I just thought it would be done if it was going to happen… curious what they’re worth? 2nd/3rd idk

What internal option do we have to replace Faulk at 2RD? Kessel?? I’m not sure he’s even a viable option for 3RD.TampaBlues78 wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:46 pmI think we have internal replacements that’ll step up. If we are dangling Kyrou why can’t Faulk or Leddy be traded and you think we can’t get a 2nd or 3rd for them?STL fan in MN wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:39 pmWhy were you expecting this? Seems unreasonable. Leddy isn’t super needed anymore but until they actually upgrade Faulk’s position, they better not send him anywhere.TampaBlues78 wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:35 pm I am a little disappointed I thought the blues would unload Faulk or Leddy for some draft capital. Leddy’s trade value is pretty much nothing, perhaps negative. He’s a 3rd pairing caliber d-man that was injured most of last season that makes $4M. You can find a 3rd pairing LD for a lot less in free agency.
Faulk plays RD which is a premium position and he’s not as bad as some make him out to be but we have absolutely nobody to replace him currently.

As someone who lost his mom to cancer, I really feel for Schaefer as I know that horrible feeling. Seems like a super great young man. Will be rooting for him.seattleblue wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 18:15 pm I am glad this player is going East. What a defenseman this kid is

Hey Stl in Minny. If we somehow traded with NJ for J Kovacevic where would he fit in our defensive paintings?STL fan in MN wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 18:17 pmWhat internal option do we have to replace Faulk at 2RD? Kessel?? Re: 2025 NHL Draft GDT
Leddy is someone you could probably get value for in the later stages of the season as a solid veteran option to secure defensive depth in the playoffs, but dealing him now is pretty much negative value. I was under no illusion that we would deal him during the draft for draft picks here, i think it's more likely that the blues make a move that includes him going back to even the salary given his term. i'd kinda expect the blues to move him now (free agency window and offseason, not during the draft) and not worry about value maximization given that leddy probably only nets you around a 5th-6th round pick, you'd only wait if it got you a 2nd-3rd and he'll never get that back.

Man with Dickinson that wretched team may be back soon. Misa was the right pick

I'd really like for the Hawks to not select Desnoyers.

Man I should have stuck to Frondell 3d like way back when lol. MN's mock is on track!
Frondell vs. Dvorsky is going to be a thing ...
