A Chicago radio guy reported Nootbar has had some neck spasms that were most likely heat related and they did not expect to see him much the rest of the series. He was having trouble with those spasms the other night, when he went to first they had to treat him.
Nah, take the simpleton way out and just blame that piece of [shirt] manager...why think the team knows it's players and their injuries while couch jockey's know it's the managers fault
Well I said it was weird and I was clearly proven right that something was up. But yeah we're all simpletons and it's definitely not just you who is a giant (donkey)(pit).
Sure you did...you instantly went to bagging on the manager I bolded it from your post:
"I guess I gave Oli too much credit yesterday when I assumed he was going to alternate Gorman/Noot yesterday and today. At least Gorman put up 3 good ABs against a tough lefty... but yeah downright weird to have Noot sit twice in a row and sitting either Burly or Gorman today makes way more sense."

Nootbaar sitting 2 days in a row? Figures just as he was starting to pick it up…
In 2025
Noot vs LHP: .653 OPS
Gorman vs LHP: .519 OPS
Saggese vs LHP: .625 OPS
Donovan vs LHP: .649 OPS
Burleson has done better lately vs LHP but also holds a career .574 OPS vs LHP and unsurprisingly went 0 for 4 yesterday with a LHP on the mound.

I have to believe that the motivation is to get Saggese AB's while up and against LHP.
Doing that and keeping Donovan and Burleson in the lineup tightens the options. All of them being
LH doesn't help the situation. Thank God they found a RH Siani to platoon VS or where would they be?

Announced that Noot received an "intercostal injection" that required 48 hours of inactivity... so he'll be back tomorrow apparently.

This lineup misses Ivan Herrera, especially against LHP.
Seems every team we play has at least two lefty's starting against us and use every lefthander from the bullpen. I suppose when your two best hitters are left handed and you continue to p!ay Noot, Gorman and Scott you're setting yourself up to see lots of lefty's. We do.miss Herrera and are desperate to find a right handed bat in the outfield, thus you see us rolling the dice on guys like Hampson. It's amazing we have no one in the organization to fill that void.
