A 6+ ERA. My guess given health they both appear next year. That doesn't mean go ahead and write them in for next years opening day rotation.
Roby had an exceptionally fine last start. 6 shutout innings, allowing only three hits. Only one walk. Mathews had some unusual control issues in his last start.
and yet, you said nothing for over two weeks about Roby. Now you're running laps beating your chest. Be consistent. Start threads ridiculing Roby when he does poorly...don't run laps like this. They've both been uneven in AAA.
Marshall is a dish served best on your foe list.

Excellent question. As always I await the sage wisdom of Honky Tonk Man before I opine. Where is he anyway? He should be here by now, vigorously agreeing with you.

Next year's rotation is probably Gray, Liberatore, Pallante, McGreevy, and ?.
I agree with this. The ? will either be someone they trade for in the offseason to thin out part of the starting position player herd or a veteran free agent. It would not surprise me if they ask Mikolas to sign for a 20% paycut 1 year contract and he takes it. Then Mathews and Roby play the McGreevy role in 2026.
I dont hate the idea of Mikolas for one year. But I'd like to see a good to quality arm added.
I don't really like it myself. But, it is a path of least resistance. I would really like to see them make a trade for a good young arm.

Baseball Trade Value apparently has moved Jordan Walker down to 0 trade value. If he was paired with a catcher I wonder if a team would take a chance on him and give us a near MLB ready pitching prospect. Probably not. They were talking about Walker on 101.1 today. The discussion was if he needs a reset in the minors again this year because he can't help the team make the playoffs. What is his role on the team next year if the expectation is to make the playoffs. They indicated probably there is not a role. So my real expectation is that they trade Walker and an IF this offseason and try to get a pitcher.

Unfortunately I am not sure the organization has any expectations of post season play this year or next.

Let’s play “keep, trade, non-tender” with those three. At the end of each of their arb years, who will be where?

You’re asking me two seperate questions- who contributes most, to be measured over a full season, and who will impact quickest, which is a snap shot in time.

The quickest is easiest to answer. The more question takes yearsz
