Mathews or Roby. Maybe Hence. All three could really be helpful, at least, next season. Good to see some really fine pitching prospects coming along.

Mo quicka? I have no clue Mathews is at AAA but he hasn't gotten on track so maybe Roby can pass him. But Roby has soiled the bowl with Memphis too now. A 6+ ERA. My guess given health they both appear next year. That doesn't mean go ahead and write them in for next years opening day rotation.

Roby had an exceptionally fine last start. 6 shutout innings, allowing only three hits. Only one walk. Mathews had some unusual control issues in his last start.

Next year's rotation is probably Gray, Liberatore, Pallante, McGreevy, and ?.

and yet, you said nothing for over two weeks about Roby. Now you're running laps beating your chest. Be consistent. Start threads ridiculing Roby when he does poorly...don't run laps like this. They've both been uneven in AAA.

I agree with this. The ? will either be someone they trade for in the offseason to thin out part of the starting position player herd or a veteran free agent. It would not surprise me if they ask Mikolas to sign for a 20% paycut 1 year contract and he takes it. Then Mathews and Roby play the McGreevy role in 2026.

Then he is ready. What is high brass waiting for? DFA Sonny to make room and start him tomorrow!

I dont hate the idea of Mikolas for one year. But I'd like to see a good to quality arm added.
