It’s hard to imagine him thriving in a series against a team like Florida, where the forecheck is relentless. In that type of matchup, his game risks becoming a liability, as he could be neutralized and leave a major gap in the lineup.
What I’d really like to see is the Blues investing in offseason development for Kyrou—someone who can help him refine his game without compromising his speed and skill. We don’t need him to become a bruiser or live in the trenches, but we do need him to be more engaged on the boards, fight through checks, and hold onto the puck longer. If he can add that layer to his game, it would go a long way toward making him a consistent playoff contributor.
