And Broberg isn’t ready for the Panthers and would have had no influence on that outcome

Stauffer certainly thought it made a difference. Especially since some of the bums they allocated money too didn't even dress in Game 6. And you must have not watched last year's Stanley Cup Finals when Broberg was a +7 in the series. The highest amongst all Oilers.theograce wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:09 pmThat has zero to do with what we were talking about though.DIAMONDINTHEROUGH wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:06 pmBob Stauffer admitted on his Oilers Now show the day after Game 6 losing both cost them some some much needed speed and youth.theograce wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 15:59 pmBecause a few post stuff doesn’t mean fans are flocking to blues content. Re: Oilers: Biggest Fraud in SCF history
Broberg was an afterthought. Limited ice time etc. The Panthers are better this year. If Broberg was cared about they’d pound on him like they do with important players. I mean you saw what Tkachuk did to him when he focused on him all game. That’s what he’d get…pounded…broken emotionally.DIAMONDINTHEROUGH wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:18 pmStauffer certainly thought it made a difference. The mighty Broberg couldn’t even help avoid the choke of chokes when Helly was trying to give the Blues the series. I like Broberg enough for what he is right now…but he’s grossly overrated here.

Oh the Troll watched last years series and he knows Broberg was the best defensemen on the ice for EDM. But it’s easier for him to lie than actually engage in a meaningful hockey-related conversation. I think living in his mom’s basement all these years has permanently warped him, which is why he sleeps with a Calgary Flames nightlight, snuggling a Petro body pillow.DIAMONDINTHEROUGH wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:18 pmStauffer certainly thought it made a difference. 16 minutes a game is hardly limited ice time. He would have fared better against the Panthers than the rest of their defenseman that were worked. You act like Broberg single handedly blew Game 7. There were several other Blues on the ice that did nothing.theograce wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:24 pmBroberg was an afterthought. Limited ice time etc. The Panthers are better this year. Remember when this same joker said a year ago the Predators would finish ahead of the Blues in the standings? And that Skjei was worth what he got?Backesdraft wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:25 pmOh the Troll watched last years series and he knows Broberg was the best defensemen on the ice for EDM. As a dman it’s low yes. Especially since he isn’t known for his defense. 14:37 in an elimination game…guys were playing double that against greater QOC and in harder situations.DIAMONDINTHEROUGH wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:36 pm16 minutes a game is hardly limited ice time.theograce wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:24 pmBroberg was an afterthought. Hedman was -6 against them. Swap out Hedman for Broberg. I’d pay a few dollars to see that lol.

He certainly made strides since then. His +/- far exceeded that of any other Oilers defenseman this year playing 20 minutes a game. He will never be Hedman. But that doesn't mean he's not a good player.theograce wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:40 pmAs a dman it’s low yes. If having Broberg would have meant less ice time for Klingberg then yes, he could have helped.
A healthy Holloway would have been a bigger add for Edmonton. They really needed a guy like him, particularly after Hyman went down.

The Oilers got killed. They were like -7 or -8 in first periods.DIAMONDINTHEROUGH wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:50 pm He certainly made strides since then. Broberg doesn’t even move the needle a little bit against them. To think otherwise is just being naive.

Too bad they wasted money on J Skinner instead. Who was so bad he only played 5 times in the playoffs.bluetunehead wrote: ↑22 Jun 2025 16:55 pm If having Broberg would have meant less ice time for Klingberg then yes, he could have helped.
