Oilers: Biggest Fraud in SCF history

- The 2024-25 Edmonton Oilers set an NHL Record for most minutes trailing in a single Stanley Cup series.
- They did not have the lead at the end of regulation in a single one of the 6 games this series
- 3 games went to OT, while Florida dominated the other 3. Edmonton did not outplay Florida in a single game this final.

The Panthers were basically 4-0-2 in this series.

Truthfully, the Cup was never a realistic option, when you have a coach like Kris Knoblauch switching goalies back and forth. I couldn't think of a single example in my lifetime of that working.

So I asked A.I. if if any team has and here was its response:

"No, no team has won the Stanley Cup by switching goalies back and forth throughout the playoffs. While it's not unheard of for teams to use multiple goalies during a playoff run, a team hasn't won the Cup with a consistent "switching" strategy where they're regularly alternating starters. Knoblauch takes a ton of the blame as far as I’m concerned. Shouldn’t have gotten the gig in the first place; only did because he was McDavids choice.

Even if you put aside the mismanagement of his goalie situation, the way he handled Kane was abysmal - how many stupid selfish penalties does a guy need to take before you bench him?

Can't rule them out of making one more run because of the weak Pacific, but that should just about take them out of Finals talk for a few years.

Until they fix the defense and goaltending they aren't legitimate contenders.
