Are you sure it's not the pitching? Seems like the pitching is more responsible for their recent W-L record.
3-2 L on sunday or Friday wasn't on the pitching.
They are 27th in ERA, 4.87, since June 1 and 12th in runs scored, 68.

I wonder how much of a short sample size ERA could be attributed to the offense, not scoring, the starter, allowing a normal amount of runs, then the manager, throwing in the towel and putting Roycroft in to mop up because he knows there’s no chance of the offense coming back to begin with.

Versus if the bats had scored enough to take a small lead, he would’ve put Matan and Helsley in to hopefully save the game and limit the other team to fewer number of total runs?

Offense can drive relief pitching selection, which can drive Team era?

Just one game was like that, the one where we lost 10-9 to the Blue Jays. And we were down 8-6 in the 9th inning when they brought in Roycroft. He gave up 2 runs and then we hit a 3-run HR in the bottom of the 9th to make it 10-9. One of the games was the one where we had a 7-2 lead over the Royals and ended up losing 10-7.

If you see the team era ranked 27th for the timeframe we're talking about and you want to blame the offense for the poor record, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

No disrespect to Donovan but if he’s your best position player there’s an issue

Solid core type player but not a star, limited athleticism

And Winn get an absolute bomb off of 50 mph rogue pitched from a second base last night. Lol. But should the White Sox even count?

Too true.
