Maybe we can get Ronaldo on a short term loan for the summerRosthol wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025 05:23 amStill no response from mjg.Rosthol wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025 05:36 amNot if they cried more.mjg wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025 18:24 pmSo if US players cried more you think that would somehow translate into wins after the fact? Cristiano Ronaldo "I have many titles with clubs, but there's nothing better than winning for Portugal. [...] It's our nation, our people.
So Cristiano Ronaldo even at 40 was in tears when Portugal beat Spain in the Nations League Final.
Maybe Christian Pulisic and the rest of the USMNT could learn from him.
My point was Cristiano Ronaldo (at the age of 40) had a long season as well. He showed he cared by showing up and participating.
Pulisic shows he doesn’t care by not showing up to the Good Cup.
He doesn’t realize how important it is for the team to be together a year before the World Cup.
Now maybe they will go on a run and make the semi-finals.
But, maybe they don’t.
Which will be a bad look for him.
Clearly he doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him.

Doesn’t work that way.mjg wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025 10:15 amMaybe we can get Ronaldo on a short term loan for the summerRosthol wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025 05:23 amStill no response from mjg.Rosthol wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025 05:36 amNot if they cried more.mjg wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025 18:24 pmSo if US players cried more you think that would somehow translate into wins after the fact? In this day and age? FIFA is always available to the highest bidder. Surely someone can get him a US passport.Rosthol wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025 16:38 pmDoesn’t work that way.mjg wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025 10:15 amMaybe we can get Ronaldo on a short term loan for the summerRosthol wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025 05:23 amStill no response from mjg.Rosthol wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025 05:36 amNot if they cried more.mjg wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025 18:24 pmSo if US players cried more you think that would somehow translate into wins after the fact? Re: Men's National Team.
The Gold Cup is just like the EUROS. Same type of tournament. Would Harry Kane miss the EUROS. I don’t think so.
Now there is going to be a Gold Cup in 2027 - that is the one to skip.
Given the team’s recent poor form. Crashing out of the group stage at COPA AMERICA. Losing the Nations League games to Panama and Canada. It was very important to get the team together for cohesion and building chemistry for next year.
Just ask Landon Donovan, Alexi Lalas and Clint Dempsey.
Those players are, drank and breathed football.
Unlike Christian Pulisic.
They didn’t turn down a chance to represent their country.

Re: Men's National Team.
The Gold Cup is not important this year, BECAUSE many first-team players from CONCACAF are not playing due to the Club WC.
Pulisic offered to play against the Euro teams, but there's no reason for him to add to his workload playing with the B team or sitting while waiting to play Mexico in the GC Final.
Nobody is having trouble understanding that now that the competitions are under way.

Well if I had a choice between free tickets to the gold cup or the Euro championships I would take Gold Cup every time. Why watch Germany or Spain when you can watch Trinidad & Tobacco....
Re: Men's National Team.
The Gold Cup in 2027 is the one that should be skipped.
Considering their poor form - losing out at the Group stage in Copa America. Losing to Panama and Canada in the Nations League.
The last tournament before the World Cup.

What if you could watch Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid in Nashville, Cincy, Atlanta or Charlotte?BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 11:24 am Well if I had a choice between free tickets to the gold cup or the Euro championships I would take Gold Cup every time. Without all of their star players? Still a no from me dawg. The Euros might be the highest level of football there is...winonsports wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 12:53 pmWhat if you could watch Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid in Nashville, Cincy, Atlanta or Charlotte?BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 11:24 am Well if I had a choice between free tickets to the gold cup or the Euro championships I would take Gold Cup every time. Maybe Pulisic just hates America. We should get Trump, ICE, Lalas, et. al. on the horn. Make sure they’re aware of unpatriotic behavior.Rosthol wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 05:11 amThe Gold Cup is just like the EUROS. Same type of tournament. Would Harry Kane miss the EUROS. I don’t think so.
