as a lifelong STLouisan (minus 40 years in Cali), wen I came back I re-discovered London and Sons, and remembered we were doing wings decdes before "buffalo wings" became a thing. We were ahead of the curve!
first wings I remember was either late 70's or very early 80's at Rich n Charlie' / Pasta House. They were the full wing and took almost 15 minutes in the fryer. They sucked for the fryer guy who could not drop the TRs / Potato skins / Chicken Breasts .
For me, the best wings ever in the area were at The Dandy Inn in O'Fallon, IL. Unfortunately, it has been closed, demolished, and turned into a MotoMart.
