Re: 2017 redraft top 20 players
I’d probably put Thomas 3rd or 4th. Makar, Heiskanen, and then Thomas or Pettersson at #3. I’m not a fan of Pettersson, so I’d go with Thomas.

Re: 2017 redraft top 20 players

Oettinger
9) Necas
10) Swayman

Pettersson shot out of the gate, but seems to have gotten comfortable including only 45 scoring points last year.Nublues69 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 12:25 pm Nico Hischier (C)

I think as of right now Thomas has passed him.
Re: 2017 redraft top 20 players
It’s not about being comfortable. Something has happened. His top speed is down along with the velocity on his shot. Emotional issues as well.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 12:56 pm Pettersson shot out of the gate, but seems to have gotten comfortable including only 45 scoring points last year.
If anything, he’s very uncomfortable

Re: 2017 redraft top 20 players
I'd take him 3rd behind Makar and Robertson. Not too many players have nearly 80 point seasons the past 4 seasons and only 25 years old, Robertson is an absolute steal of 2017 draft.

Re: 2017 redraft top 20 players
The talking heads say Robertson is currently available. Would you trade RT for him? I sure wouldn’t. He’s a heck of a winger but RT is the much better overall player and plays the much more valuable position.smilinjoefission wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 14:56 pm I'd take him 3rd behind Makar and Robertson. I’d have RT behind the 2 obvious d-men and then it’d be a tough call between RT and Hischer for 3rd. But those guys are the top 4 IMO. Then Suzuki and Petterson.

This. A lot of chatter that he's just lazy and entitled, unwilling to put effort into rehab/conditioning.theograce wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 13:21 pmIt’s not about being comfortable. I think Tocchet leaving had as much to with management retaining EP40 over Miller as anything else, though thats obviously just my speculation.

I just can't imagine anyone that is lazy getting picked 5th OA in the NHL draft and scoring 100 points in an NHL season, that just doesn't happen to lazy people.Army's Mom wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 18:56 pmThis. Re: 2017 redraft top 20 players
Now we are talking. Yes, let's "redraft" 2017.
Here are the season results by month. Anybody see a "TREND" in the last month of the regular season? I have called this to your attention many times. This is Doug Armstrong's killing season. The team hits everything moving on a golf cart, and their Win/Loss results are breathtaking.
2016–17 Game Log[40]
October: 5–2–2 (Home: 3–1–1; Road: 2–1–1)
November: 8–5–1 (Home: 7–0–1; Road: 1–5–0)
December: 6–6–2 (Home: 4–2–2; Road: 2–4–0)
January: 5–8–0 (Home: 2–5–0; Road: 3–3–0)
February: 7–5–0 (Home: 2–3–0; Road: 5–2–0)
March: 11–2–2 (Home: 4–0–1; Road: 7–2–1)
April: 4–1–0 (Home: 2–1–0; Road: 2–0–0)
If the Blues had lost games at the same pace as they did earlier in the season....the Blues may not need a RHD right now.
I'd like to propose a trade.
You get the 12-game win-streak, and I get Cale Makar.

I'm pretty sure they AVS would have something to say about that.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 21:52 pm Now we are talking. Yes, let's "redraft" 2017.
