I think our coaching staff has done an awesome job. I am happy to have Julien and Otter on the staff.
BTW, I was wondering if Bannister might be interested in coaching at Lindenwood. I would like to see a high profile coach there and they just lost their coach to Michigan Tech.
I wanted to get to a Lindenwood game or two but never did. Weren't they on the road for most all of their high profile opponents?
Anyway, did you go to any and how was it?
Ohio State came to St. Louis to play Lindenwood out at Centene. I went to the first of the two game series. The Lions looked OK early in the game I went to, but faded once OS got a couple goal lead on them. Lost that game 5-2, and lost the second game 3-2. Overall not a bad showing against a D1 team that was ranked #14 at the time they played.
You probably saw them at their best, sounds like game 2 for sure.

Lindenwood is now D1, it's a tough row for sure.
Their record (8-22-2) obviously was not very good. But for a team jumping up to the D1 level, they were "in" most of games this year. Most of their losses were by three goals or less, with several three to four goal losses against teams who were #1 at the time the games were played (e.g. Michigan State and Univ. of Denver). Tons of room for improvement to be sure, but very competitive for much of the season.
Someone mentioned Bannister potentially taking the Lindenwood job, but I don’t think anyone suggested Ott. I think that could be potentially a job he might be interested in. I’m sure doesn’t pay as much but he gets to run his own program, gets a few years experience and then maybe he’s ready for a bigger D1 program or NHL HC job. There’s a pretty good HC in Tampa that sort of went that route.
