I hope so. Otherwise, we intentionally decreased our chances of scoring.

Don't like VS bunting with runner on 2nd and one out. Even if he does beat it out.

He was. Trying to use the element of surprise there figuring the defense may not suspect it .

One thing I have noticed though is that opponents knowing his great speed and decent ability to lay it down are going to play the 3rd baseman IN regardless of where the runners are and whether 0 or 1 out when he is up there.

Can anyone give assessment of Libby thru two. Pitch count about 40. I saw first K. Thought it was outside.

Three hits. Have they been rockets? Thanx.

Yes. I am fine with it if he believes he has a 30% or better chance of getting a hit. But an intentional sacrifice is not smart.

There was already a runner is scoring position and two guys had a chance to drive him in. Giving up an out with a very small chance of driving in a run is the worst move. Afterward, you are relying on one guy to get a hit or the inning is over. Three of every four times, he is going to fail.

Wacha never had that kind of curve in STL. Straight down. Got Donny looking.

Cards are doing great at spreading out their singles. Bad sequencing luck so far today.
