Can you prove it?Shady wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:52 pmI get it. But Burleson has more respect as a MLB hitter vs RHP by the professionals than you might think. JMOMonsieur De Treville wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:50 pmYep! Teams don't care about Contreras, Herrera, Noot, Winn, Hurdy Gurdy. Their entire focus is a guy who isn't even an average career hitter!Futuregm2 wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:35 pmTrue, the whole league is terrified of Burleson and his career 95 OPS+Shady wrote: ↑17 May 2025 12:32 pmActually, that may be one of the reasons the Cardinals see so many LHP.craviduce wrote: ↑17 May 2025 11:34 amhttps://www.fangraphs.com/players/noah- ... position=Prockondlouie wrote: ↑17 May 2025 11:29 am Seth Lugo was scratched from a scheduled start today against the Cardinals, as the Royals right-hander is battling inflammation in the middle finger of his throwing hand.
Rookie Noah Cameron will be recalled from Triple-A to start today’s game in Lugo’s place, and Cameron might well be in line for an extended look in the majors if one or both of Lugo or Ragans ultimately require a 15-day IL stint to fully heal up. -mlbtr
he's a LHP....so Burleson may sit? That's a bummer. Maybe Oli lets him start anyway?

I coached LL 13-14. Seth was one year ahead. He went to Centenary in Shreveport where my wife is a Trustee. I have watched him up close many times. The man can be a beast. Cardinals are lucky he not pitching today. Of course Skenes went to LSU and Cards tattoo him. Go Redbirds!

And for the record the Cardinals have faced:
32 RHSP
13 LHSP
Good point. More specifically.
2025 - Cards 10th in MLB vs LHP in OPS (.702). They are 7th vs RHP (.763).
They've seen 71% RHP (using ABs). That % was 71% as well in 2024; 75% in 2023 and 77% in 2022 (when they led MLB in OPS vs. LHP).
