It's doubtful, but stranger things have happened.

A run on pitchers and then a team falls in love with a position player other than Holliday.

Probably not, but I wouldn't be shocked either....
there will be a run on college pitchers and a run on HS SS....how and when?...we have to wait until draft day. The last piece to the puzzle....what will the Angels do? Cheap on pitching or Cheap on Hitting? They're telling everyone they're drafting a fast riser and saving money. Arquette at #2 or Doyle/Anderson at #2? That will give you a better understanding of what will fall to us.

I hear he's demanding to wear 42, bat cleanup & a guarantee to be in the ML by 2026, otherwise, he's solid.

Doesn't seem like a lot of people are hot on Liam Doyle. I don't think the kid from FSU will still be around at 5, but Doyle might. He seems like he could be a TOR pitcher if his arm doesn't fall off. The thought of a rotation with 3-4 LH starters is intriguing to me.

Doyle's command of his fastball pitches is unmatched. He hides the ball really well. The problem is he throws the fastballs 75% of the time....he has no secondary pitch that he throws more than 10% of the time in a game....not once this year.

So there's a fear of Reliever surrounding him. I think he'll move quickly in the Minors. Might face resistance in AAA, then a good developmental org, will be able to get him in on a Changeup and/or Cutter. If not, then RHB will eat him up in the Minors.
