He doesn’t really play center. He’s a wing which Blues have plenty of

No, mostly because he is not an upgrade. If he was better at faceoffs, wanted to take under 2M, and continued hitting anything that moves, i'd take him solely because the WTF line minus Faksa and plus him would still spell the same and play the same. but a poor faceoff winrate and the fact that someone will give him a better look means no thanks.

Mostly plays wing, when he does take faceoffs he’s at 44%, out up 15 pts this season…if he wasn’t from St. Louis most here probably wouldn’t even be familiar with him.

Decent 4th line winger but I wouldn’t go out of my way to sign him or anything.

I fully expect the Blues to ink this guy to a deal. Fits a need and he'll be affordable.

This St. Louisian fetish rears its head every offseason.

Not a center.
Not a scorer.
Not particularly cheap for what he brings.
Not an obvious need (plenty of bottom six wings).
Not a reason to sign him.

Toughness. 200 hits, 15 goals, 35 points. Willing to drop the gloves and fight. Won't cost a lot. Sold

The first area to address is the D - specifically size. We need some beef and some reach. A guy like Scott Mayfield isn't making much and can be serviceable 5/6 guy.

Adding size and reach certainly helps the 5v6 situation. Long reach gets sticks in lanes. The 2019 D was big and ever since, they've gotten smaller. I think you'll see Tucker with a regular role.. and we'll see a bigger D next season. This one is not built for a long run.

Based off Army’s comments, I didn’t get the sense the D was going to be a big priority for the club in the offseason.

Sounds like they want to add more offense (forwards).

Blues would like a center to either play on 2nd or 3rd line. They are flush with wingers. I like Frederic but he mainly plays wing. Think Blues look elsewhere.

If you're signing him, its to replace Walker with someone who has more size. Not sure you're going to get him for 4th line winger money.

I dont think size on D is much of an issue surprisingly losing Tucker may have hurt the Blues in front of their own net in the end, but he'll be back. Faulk at 5'11" 205 is the smallest guy the Blues dont have a small D.
