Parayko could've arguably be in the conversation for the Norris before his injury. Not that he would've won it, but he was getting noticed.

You don't trade dominate RHD like Parayko.
Dominant? You’re kidding right?
I’ve been as big a Parayko critic as their is but there is just no way we can trade that guy and be a better team.

No, but I’d do that.
Why
Cause we need a 2C. Ok, see if something less would do it, but go up to that. 55 has the size, reach and shot but not always the IQ.
A 33 year old Z for 6’6 great skating dman? Come on

He doesn’t box out, turnover machine in his own end even with the great season he was having. Pronger called him a 3. I’ll take his word for it. Have to give to get. Only thing I don’t like is the NMC for Zibanejad.

Good grief no, not in 2,112 years.

Move Parayko and Faulk becomes 1RHD, Kessel (I guess) 2RHD and Bomac 3RHD.

What's more, Parayko has NTC and Z has NMC.

Going to be a brutal off-season on this board.

Well find another option…Zibanejad is definitely not the guy you trade Parayko for. Good luck finding a trade that works for both teams.

Your hate for Parayko is reaching laughable standards.

I looked into this about midway through the year. I like the idea. 2c next year and can drop to 2c when dvorsky takes over 2c. Just not sure what AAV looks like on a 2-3 season contract.
What about Mikael Granlund on a two year deal ?

Yes many hockey players have that issue, there is a lot of stress placed on the knees and ankles. We aren't alone in that.

Personally, I recently watched the Blues/Jets series. Very close, exciting series. C'mon guys this stuff is starting way too early.

He just turned 33 this year so a 2 year deal would put him at 35, and he made 5 million last year but scored 66 points.

If he's willing to do 2 years it wouldn't be awful but is he faster than Schenn? That's what that line needs is a 2nd center who can at least somewhat keep up with Kyrou and Holloway. Schenn wasn't able to keep up be he was able to win a lot of puck battles for them and forecheck.

It's certainly worth looking into that's for sure.

This is a colossally, COLOSSALLY terrible idea. No offense to the OP. Mika is entering the steep phase of his decline...his production is down 50% in the past two seasons and he was -22 this year. 55 still has at least four more good years IMO, and he seems like he could go until he's in his late 30s.

Go to a Rangers game and sit in the cheap seats, you'll get a good sense of how how they feel about Mika haha. We're talking Brewer-levels of whipping boy hate, with a healthy dose of New York ruthlessness. Pretty entertaining actually.
