Just about any other player and I’ve give them the benefit of the doubt but not Bennett. He accidentally on purpose hits guys in the head all the time now. He’s made it an art form.
That said, the DOPS can’t assume that. They have to take each play at face value. And the video really isn’t all that damning. Him accidentally on purpose punching Marchand in the face last year looked much worse and he didn’t get suspended for that either.
I would like to see him suspended but I’d also be surprised if he is.

How about this for Bennett-phobic theory: He had already beaned goalie with shot to the head, therefore targeted it.
If your brain is already wobbly, doesn't take much to make it much worse. The crease contact was not all that great.
