Panthers are big and bad, they aren’t afraid to cross the line. Almost worked for them last night.

League should suspend him. That's complete [nonsense]!
Re: Kadri playing for Florida?
He’s kinda neutered now though with a big spotlight on him. Leafs beat them up in the first.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:17 am Panthers are big and bad, they aren’t afraid to cross the line. Almost worked for them last night.

He’s just one guy, the Panthers have several that will cross the line if need be.theograce wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:43 amHe’s kinda neutered now though with a big spotlight on him. He’s the main guy. The head of the snake that way. The others Mikkola, Tkachuk, Ekblad etc also have histories and will be watched.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:46 amHe’s just one guy, the Panthers have several that will cross the line if need be.theograce wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:43 amHe’s kinda neutered now though with a big spotlight on him. I’m pulling for the Leafs. Hopefully the goal tending holds up. I believe in Woll if they have to go to him.theograce wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:53 amHe’s the main guy. The head of the snake that way. That was weird last night. Pretty hard to assess what happened to him there.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑06 May 2025 09:58 amI’m pulling for the Leafs. Hopefully the goal tending holds up. Great plays by Marner at the end there and Knies is turning into a star

Knies is a beast! Love watching that guy play. He's like a better version of Holloway. Taking nothing away from Holloway.theograce wrote: ↑06 May 2025 10:03 amThat was weird last night. Re: Kadri playing for Florida?
it's unfortunate because these plays ruin series. Especially when they are happening in the crease. I said it during the Kadri hit and I say it for this one, these guys are intentionally going to space that they know is dangerous and stuff can happen. It doesn't mean they are intentionally trying to injure the goalie. Kadri skated to an area where he knew a collision was happening with Rosen and Binner. Any player of that caliber knows what is about to happen. They don't intend to knock the goalie out, they go to rough them up. Bennett knows what he is doing there when he is entering that space and even gives the little shiv. Both these players have extensive histories. They should be suspended as soon as this stuff happens.
I can see a world where guys with no history can be let off the hook if it looks like an accident. But they get their 1 get out of jail free card in that regard. Once you have a history, I'm sorry, you keep that for the rest of your tenure in the league. Send that message to every player that signs a NHL contract. These goalies might have a lot of pads on, but they are stuck in an area where they are pretty defenseless. At least skaters get to maneuver around a bit and if they choose not to get hit can kind of make that choice. These goalies are sitting ducks. I'm tired of seeing players in their space. I don't care what led up to the play, whether it's a crash or not, if you have a history, it's on you.

Not many guys with his size have hands like that. When he’s physical he’s electric out there.succinct712 wrote: ↑06 May 2025 10:09 amKnies is a beast! Love watching that guy play. I agree, it's complete [nonsense]! The league should have every interest in protecting the players (especially the vulnerable goalies).callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑06 May 2025 10:12 am it's unfortunate because these plays ruin series. Re: Kadri playing for Florida?
Not saying it was a clean play for Bennett to make contact but word is that Stolarz was actually concussed by the shot off the mask he took 5 minutes into the game and the Bennett hit (which does not look particularly nasty to me but definitely illegal contact) really knocked him loose.
Already said no supplemental discipline for Bennett.

Re: Kadri playing for Florida?
One of the Jets hit Binner pretty hard in the head with his knee. But no call.
