Why does that bother you? What impact does it have on your life?
Don’t you enjoy games more when the stadium is full and the fans are pumped, compared to an empty energy less stadium?
That’s like asking whether I would rather watch a- game seven Stanley cup final in overtime, or a regular season game.

Of course not. You're wasting your time arguing with one complete idiot that has nothing but time on his hands. The attendance is indicative of what people feel about this roster and organization. Period, end of story.

People are drawn to other people and places where they feel valued. They are not drawn to people and places where they don't feel valued. Most folks in the area want to love and support the Cardinals, but nobody likes being treated as the fool. I suspect when they stop with the condescension and [nonsense] and begin to deliver current competency rather regaling tales of yesteryear folks will return. The longer they wait, the harder it will be. The ball is in your court stubborn man.

Sadly, you are correct....there are Cardinals fans who want to see an effort from the front office to win and those few posters who only care about defending DeTwit and Mo-ran.

So watching developing and maturing players like Donovan, Winn, Scott, Herrera, Burleson, Nootbaar, Pages,
Gorman, Walker, Liberatore, McGreevy, etc. isn't of interest?

Some things didn't work, so now they're changing horses. Happens all the time in business.

It’s shocking that apathy and lack of investment while using hope as a primary strategy didn’t work.

Sadly, ownership really messed this up, and I think it’ll be hard for them to win back fans without selling the franchise. They (upset) away every bit of their goodwill.

Why are you asking me? You don't care what my opinion is one way or another.

The attendance will always answer any question you may have about interest.

Simple misconception of their market. They are still trying to force a decades old model into the new electronics world with little transition.

No one is "painted into a corner." LOL.

The players are playing pretty good baseball and they don't have a decent
crowd there cheering them on. Many want to blame ownership, the front office, or field management - that's fine,
but what about the players who are putting out 100% every game? Doesn't anyone care about them?

Why don’t you simply start a good feel thread about the players. That’s all you need to do.

While I agree that the players are a more interesting bunch to watch, I don't owe anyone there anything. They want to run a business, which is their right. I want to watch meaningful postseason competition. Our interests don't currently align.

Cranny, I believe the problem with the players you mention is that none of them have the star potential of past home grown and traded for players from the recent past like Pujols, Edmonds, Rolen, Chris Carpenter, Molina, Wainwright etc. I don't see any of the current players you list having the potential of being more than a little bit above average. It's painfully obvious by his recent business decisions that DeWitt does not have the same drive that he had in his early ownership days to field a team that could consistently compete for a championship. I live on the west coast now and have been paying to watch yearly with an MLB.com subscription. This year I did not renew because I won't give my dollars to watch at best a mediocre product.

Seems like it fits on this thread, dawg. The thread is about low attendance. I simply mentioned to players.
