This is an internet forum! Only in the heads of armchair GMs does this thread "add" anything but entertainment. But while we're at it if posters don't get the player names right they just might get called out - on a point of fact no less.theograce wrote: ↑05 May 2025 10:37 amGreat post. Adds a lot. Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
Kyrou was at least dangerous last night, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Blues trade JK as the team looks set on wing for the foreseeable future. Nothing against JK, but the style of play from our Blues, JK loses the puck far to often along the boards and even while entering the zone. Yes he can score, but I can see him being replaced by Snuggerud, Stenberg and/or DD next year, let alone trading Kyrou would bring back an asset, which to me is an opportunity this team should take. I should mention JK has come a long way, which is also why this could be a good time to trade him.

Kyrou goes from -38 to -12 to +23 for a swing of +61.
Still not enough for some of you.

Kyrou led the team last nights in shots on goalLloyd Braun wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:20 amPassing up the opportunity to score multiple times when he has a wide open slot shot has nothing to do with injury and everything to do with being a gutless and weak playerPierre McGuire wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:11 amHe was clearly injured...his skating was very off...he might have been maybe 60-a70% what he normally is. Players look like they are playing through injury when they try to play normally, but can’t. Kyrou looked like he was playing through fear. Yeah, that hit he got from Stanley (I think it was Stanley) was a bone crusher, but it did not take him out of the game anywhere except in his own head.

Not sure if he was injured or not, but he was charmin level soft along the boards multiple times.
Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
Regular season is one thing. Playoff hockey is another. He’s just not built nor has the mindset for it.
I don’t hate him as much as some do. But I wouldn’t be sad to see him go. He’s very replaceable. And in the playoffs a liability
Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
I only disagree with "very replaceable". Kyrou gets you into the playoffs as a near ppg player. Truly, he gets pushed around, pushed off pucks and losing board battles, and often caught between making a play or playing North. Those traits are amplified in the playoffs. He drew a LOT of ice time. Overall, he didn't cause the Blues to lose that series, he just didn't rise up and win it in the end. Neither did anyone else, for that matter.

Yep. Looks terrified every time he gets within a couple feet of possible contact.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 23:10 pm I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player as terrified as he is when he might take a hit
He should have been gone after he mouthed off about Berube and then cried

In the biggest game of the year he had a very crucial goal, +1 played of 26 minutes.....
Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
That’s where I’m at. You can’t perform in the playoffs until you get to the playoffs. Without Kyrou we don’t even get there this year.DawgDad wrote: ↑05 May 2025 12:07 pmI only disagree with "very replaceable". Kyrou gets you into the playoffs as a near ppg player. I don't get the Kryou hate at all. The guy isn't a superstar but he also came a long way this year with his all around game. Lets just take a deep breath and prepare for the draft.
