Might also be worth while to consider he was like 21 years old for 9 of his 28 playoff games and not trade a 26 year old player entering his prime based on stats from when he was 21.

The last 2 playoffs he has scored 10 goals in 19 games which would be a 43 goal regular season pace.

I'm not a huge fan or an absolute no on trading him but objectivity is important.

Yeah but the Blues would have to add a couple more pieces. It all depends what that is. I'd be willing to take a chance and part with Bolduc and that 1st rd pick Jiricek. But I wouldn't part with Snuggerud.
You want to trade Kyrou, Bolduc, and Jiricek for Brady? A guy who scored less than Kyrou alone? and is only signed for 3 more years? Thats insane.
Brady brings the whole package here. Now if you're the Blues, you don't offer Bolduc in the deal but I imagine Ottawa won't budge unless you sweeten the deal and I'm not sure what else you can give to make the deal happen. It's a calculated risk. Bolduc is here and was hot down the stretch so there's hope as a Blues fan. Now on the flip side you could say the kid didn't show much in the playoffs, was invisible against the Jets, and even though that's not a fair thing to say given how young he is, you're gambling the kid won't meet your expectations and you include him in the Tkachuk deal to make it happen. You could probably get a draft pick added in the deal from the Sens as well. Tkachuk gives you like 300 hits a year, a net front presence, he would be a game changer here. Monty would get the most out of him for sure.

Well you don't have to sell me on Brady, I'd love to have him but that is just a silly trade proposal IMO. We need young RD

I would certainly be open to trading for BT but not that.

How many times did he turn it over behind the net today because he was absolutely terrified of any contact ?
He was likely playing through an injury incurred a couple of games back. He scored tonight. Sucks they lost but that's hockey sometimes. He was the team's leading scorer. They're not trading him.
Anybody asking to trade him is crazy as [fork].
+1 Three goals in 7 playoff games - that's a 35ish goal pace - same as his regular season neighborhood. He performed to his regular season production - and got the first goal in game 7, Not sure what you are looking for - goal scorers are hard to come by.

Kyrou has 13 playoff points in 28 career games.

I would do anything possible to get a Brady deal done but i don’t want to include Bulduc.
Probably pretty important to point out that 11 of those points are goals
And? Still horrid production when it matters. Keith Tkachuk was a playoff ghost yet everyone loved him here. Bluesfan still has that "if you play great during the regular season we don't care what you do in the playoffs" mentality. You'd think winning a Cup would make them more hungry, its like the opposite. I've watched the Cardinals get into this "we're settling" mindset, now the Blues are here. Kyrou has PROVEN he can't carry a team in the playoffs AND he's not the same player in the playoffs as the regular season. That 12 game winning streak was the worst thing that could happen, kinda like being on a plane flying into a mountain only to have the pilots say "we got control, we're okay" then crashing while landing because someone forgot to lower the landing gear.

Kyrou is a solid player on a complete team, but anyone that tries to argue that he has the urgency and compete necessary to be a centerpiece of any line is off base.

The guy just flat out doesn't battle for pucks, doesn't take the puck to the net front, and most frustratingly of all he refuses to use his game breaking speed..ever.

If the Blues can surround him with competitive players (e.g. Holloway), he has the potential to contribute enough to take a good team to a great team.

That said, you're paying an awful lot for a floater that is going to need other high dollar, in demand players on his line. What is Holloway going to demand on his next contract? What is a true #2 center with enough experience to play along side Kyrou going to cost?

If you start to math that all out, you have to expect that 2nd line will cost upwards of 22M+. That's simply not sustainable. I'd rather pay 15M for Holloway plus a solid #2 center and then roll the dice with a young, upcoming scoring winger (e.g. Snuggerud, Bolduc, Dvorsky, etc.).

Brady's penalty led to the GWG that eliminated his team from the playoffs, if I'm not mistaken.

He commits WAY too many numbskull penalties. Brady is just like his father, IMO, a great complimentary piece that can help you build top-level talent.

But he's not the elite centerpiece like his brother that you build around.

Kyrou is what he is. Talented scorer with low compete and likely to consistently disappear when teams target him physically. Could he help us be Cup contenders? Yes but requires accepting the fact that other players have to cover for him. But I'd certainly would prefer someone who might score a little less, but has a more complete game and high compete level.

I just think it may be time to move on.
He had 3 goals in 7 games in this series.
Yeah, my data didn't include the 7th game. I really want him to succeed and it was just awesome to see him come around with Holloway. But man he was ghost-like in this series. And not just points, but engagement. Schenn only had 3 points, but he obviously was involved and the Jets seemed more into him than the game at times.

I would have a hard time trading the leading scorer. It's a tough call either way.

Kyrou is a consistent 35-goal scorer making 8 million and just turned 27. Find me a better bargain.
A bargain @ $8 million? Are you Warren Buffett, or just one of his analysts?

Only way I trade Kryou is for a young RD ...maybe Noah Dobson....maybe Bowen Byram or Powers. I think Buffalo i likely shuffle the deck.

Kryou and Faulk for Powers and Krebs or something!

Powers, CP55
Broberg, Fowler
LEddy, Tucker
Kessel or FA vet

Among forward this regular season, Kyrou was 16th in goals scored, 41st in cap hit.

Find me a better bargain.

I wouldn't trade Broberg straight up for Powers.
