I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player as terrified as he is when he might take a hit
He should have been gone after he mouthed off about Berube and then cried

Why didn’t he call a TO in the middle of all of it is a head scratcher. He has something to prove in the playoffs going forward. 3 time 35 goal scorer you’re not trading your top goal scoring threat

He might be the best goal scorer but would you want him on your line? Imagine if battling for every possession while Kyrou cherry picks and continues to be lazy

Im keeping Kyrou but would happily move Faulk and Buch. Kyrou doesn't have a complete game but he does score at least. 30 goal guys are hard to come by. Faulk has been bad for most of his contract. He can go and so can Buch. Part of me hopes Buch has some sort of resurgence but he's as bad as Faulk is. Buch is straight up terrible most of the time.

Watching Ehlers push him off the puck like he was a toddler right before the end of OT1 was the final straw for me regarding him. Ehlers is not some sort of huge human being and is coming off a leg injury. But Kyrou just rolled over and lost yet another board battle like he always does. No second gear for that guy like Holloway has.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Buch ends up on the 2nd line next season. I think Holloway is clearly their no. 1 LW. And I imagine he will be taking on a larger role next season. Whatever they do they need to address RD and the middle 6 centers. Sunny and Schenn are not an option for next season.HighStick wrote: ↑04 May 2025 23:47 pm Im keeping Kyrou but would happily move Faulk and Buch. Pionk also separated him easily with a hit. I’d love to see him play with the intensity Elhers, Connor or Perfetti do. I never felt like Kyrou was about to make anything happen and seldom do. He needs to use his speed as a weapon. William Nylliander is another player with skill to watch. These guys aren’t afraid to park in front of the net, drive wide or battle through a hit.MarmolMathenyShildtLOL wrote: ↑04 May 2025 23:47 pm Watching Ehlers push him off the puck like he was a toddler right before the end of OT1 was the final straw for me regarding him. The play you’re talking about was one of the most selfish and laziest shifts of the season. He could have kept the cycle going if he decided he wanted to, the Jets had tired legs on the ice, and instead he just lets go of the puck and skates back to the bench.MarmolMathenyShildtLOL wrote: ↑04 May 2025 23:47 pm Watching Ehlers push him off the puck like he was a toddler right before the end of OT1 was the final straw for me regarding him. He was definitely injured, if you watched the game last night it stood out like a sore thumb.

#17 can be seen playing panic surrender hockey in those final two minutes of regulation, Blindly slap the puck off the board or plexiglass,
We don't know how to score on an empty net with any degree of accuracy.

Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
I think it would be wise for the Blues to think more about what they need to add than what they need to get rid of. Sure that may include shipping out something to bring something in but simply not having Kyrou doesn't help us at all.
Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
Kyrou was the Blues' best offensive player last night and nearly won the game early in OT. What on earth is everyone watching?
Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
Regular-season goals and effort are one thing; the playoffs are a different animal. In the playoffs, #25 is a cross between The Tin Man and The Cowardly Lion. Without a heart, and a serious lack of courage. Maybe that will be changed, over time, but it might not be. Time for real soul-searching by the player, coaches, and management.
Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
Every team needs a Kyrou. Even us. This is a hard one.("The devil you know") I watch enough around the league to know that his play isn't no different then the play of any other star in the league. They also have many bad games. Most just don't get to view them with emotional ties.
Brady didn't make a difference with his play in the playoffs. He still took minutes, periods, games off, he made some impact, but he did a whole bunch of nothing. A bunch.
Kyrous game is towards the goal. Not along the boards or banging in the blue. We played a to the boards, crowd the net game. We choose to take his game away. The same with Bolducs. For the game of Schenn, Neighbours, and Sunny. And in the end, they didn't do their part.
