You have to deal him before his NTC kicks in.
How many times did he turn it over behind the net today because he was absolutely terrified of any contact ?

He was likely playing through an injury incurred a couple of games back. He scored tonight. Sucks they lost but that's hockey sometimes. He was the team's leading scorer. They're not trading him.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 22:14 pm You have to deal him before his NTC kicks in.

I agree… He plays so (bleep) soft…… I mean it’s the playoffs… And I still cannot believe how stupid Buchy was at the end of the game

Faulk and Kyrou need to go.

Anybody asking to trade him is crazy as [fork].dtkblueshockey wrote: ↑04 May 2025 22:16 pmHe was likely playing through an injury incurred a couple of games back. He scored tonight. I’m actually hoping to hear Kyrou was playing injured. If not though? Then he’s simply not built for playoff hockey. Too soft and passive.
Wouldn’t look to dump him but no harm in seeing what you could get for him before his NTC kicks in.

Kyrous issues pale to the errors by Faulk and Buch on this game.
And Monty has had how long to fix the 6/5 malady? Just what is the problem?
I mean really...........I'm bummed but hard to be shocked by this.

How hard can it be to just pin the puck on the boards and run out the time:

And Faulk and Leddy. This team is fundamentally broken.

I was finally starting to think Kyrou was turning it around. But man, he had only 2 points in this series. Same as Sunny.
I just think it may be time to move on.

2. Ottawa isn’t trading their captain. I mean, why would they?

Kyrou looked like he was playing through an injury.

Jordan Kyrou is our Kyle Connor, they are both not super physical but they play the role of putting the puck in the not more often than not through other means. Kyrou had a much better regular season this year and I see no reason to think he won't trend that way.
The lines just aren't the same without Holloway's speed and physicality making the 2nd line miserable to play against. Then by bumping up Neighbors or Bolduc you get more of a forecheck on the first line which we didn't have all series (but did in the regular season).

No. Kyrou should be Kyle Connor but he isn't. He is Nikolaj Ehlers. He is not worth keeping around because he can't raise his game in the playoffs and he is a turnover machine. He is weak on the puck and lacks the ability to be elusive like Connor. Kyrou constantly kills the Blues momentum with boneheaded plays or lack of compete. I wouldn't want Connor, Ehlers or Kyrou on the Blues if I had a choice.Kilokaai wrote: ↑04 May 2025 22:37 pm Jordan Kyrou is our Kyle Connor, they are both not super physical but they play the role of putting the puck in the not more often than not through other means. Kyrou isn’t Ehlers either. That guy played hard all night and even bounced Kyrou off the puck with a hit. Connor, Ehlers and Perfetti all played hard and desperate to win all night. Ehlers actually fought Schenn before.ChooseBlues wrote: ↑04 May 2025 22:45 pmNo. Kyrou should be Kyle Connor but he isn't. He is Nikolaj Ehlers.
