I used to think of Faksa as a disappointment since he was picked 12th overall (I think, correct me) but the second half of this season and a Game 7 aren't happening without his contribution to make that 4th line. Outstanding on faceoffs, smart, strong. I've really focused on him more in the second half once I heard the Stancl interview where they asked him which Blues players he'd met in camp that made an impression on him. Stancl talked about driving in Faksa's car, and how he was shepherding him and other Czech prospects and how meaningful that was to him to have that time. So after that story I began thinking about Stancl's game in terms of Faksa's game. They are smart, toolsy forwards with size. Stancl is not at Faksa's level on the dot. Faksa does not have Stancl's wrister either. All this to say I think he's been a really valuable add and if the dollars are right they should keep him.

Just my opinion but the Blues don’t have a replacement for Faska at this time and I wouldn’t go trade for one while I have him. I also wouldn’t sign him to any more than 2 years at the most. I would move on from Sunny before I moved on from Faska.

Well, Sunny is signed for next year at 1.5 mil and Faksa is UFA. I hate to see him go, but I suspect he does and Sunny slides down to the fourth line. I think Sunny will be better next year, as most players are better the second year after ACL surgery. They might be set, actually, with Devo moving into the 3C roll and Neighbours going to 3LW with the return of Holloway. Wish they could make a splash with a forward signing, but might not have to if Devo is ready to really contribute.

We saw what happened when Faksa got hurt and they tried to make it work. It was a disaster. The bottom 6 was a [censored] until he got back. None of our prospects coming up are blocked by WTF. So if you overpay Faksa by a million, even at 2 years it’s not going to hurt the cap especially with it going up again the following year. Pay the man.

I would pay Faksa whatever it takes, as well.

He is a rock on that magnificent line: the brains, the faceoffs, the desire, and the size.

He anchor, the ice cold one who lets you know his incredible power even as he keeps his gloves on. He rarely throws the first punch; that happens if he is defending a teammate from a very dirty hit. Logan Stanley tried to get him to drop' em, but Faksa wrapped him up and steadily drove the big lummox backward. Stanley calmed down quickly when he felt that Faksa was willing to go.
I know he must keep his cool in a Game Seven, but-OH- I would like to see Stanley open the Radek Faksa Door. He hasn't had a fight since preseason '23 when he fought Sam Bitten.
I think the Faksa Door would be as scary as the Pollak Door.
