he throws mid 90s..nothing special but he has excellent control...several pitches and good movement...it isnt a fluke that he is getting major leaguers out

They cannot send this kid down again. He deserves to be in St. Louis.

I hope they keep both him and Graceffo up, they both looked good in their limited exposure and were at least at one time the best pitching prospects in the minors.

Yeah, he has looked better than the starter he replaced today. And the starter in the first game. And the starter Friday night. In both opportunities he was given last season he looked like he belonged. In spring training he looked like he belonged. Tonight he looks like he belongs. I need to be patient, I guess. He WILL be in the rotation by the end of the season, either by injury, poor performance, or a trade at the deadline. Also, Graceffo hasn't necessarily earned a spot in the rotation, but he has earned another look soon.

the guy has done nothing but get major league hitters out...he came up late last season and was great...pitched great in the spring and here he is again at it...he may flop going forward but he shouldnt have to prove he belongs

The mandate is to win games and the 2nd self proclaimed mandate was to play youth…..so explain why he hasn’t been starting???

If I may be so bold as to discuss politics on this forum- it's payroll politics.

If he's not going to start, though, you don't want him wasted in the bullpen.

I think that until they are officially out of it and decide to sell, or someone gets hurt, they send him down.

They will, and I don't like it, but it's better than being put in the bullpen. Build up the innings, so there is not excuse not to be in the rotation next season.

Exactly right.
The movement was outstanding - and made his 4 seamer effective.
Mets simply could not time his pitches.
He will be in the rotation sometime in July - maybe earlier if there is an injury.

With this bullpen could he maybe be a setup man?
