His slugging is just preposterously bad. 3 doubles on the season and no homers? Hasn’t homered now in like 90 games? It’s time to try someone else. Anyone.

The problem so far, is that no one has stepped up and rooted him out of his spot. Expect that to change when Herrera returns.

His last homer was on August 17 which was his 237th game in the MLB. He is now at game 304, so 67 games without a homer. 218 ABs if I figured it right. The OP had the number of games wrong but still concerning.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 13:20 pm60 games this season.CrownRoyalCaramel wrote: ↑04 May 2025 13:05 pm His slugging is just preposterously bad. 3 doubles on the season and no homers? Walker has more RBI, more runs, more HRs, better WAR. Neither has been anywhere close to good offensively. But one has more upside and is like 3 years younger.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:18 pm60 games this seasonHorseTrader wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:04 pmHis last homer was on August 17 which was his 237th game in the MLB. Hererra up.......Baker down for good..........Burleson tossed in as a throw in when they start making trades.

Walker has a brief shining year his rookie year...been an abomination since. Dare i say he's getting worseFuturegm2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:21 pmWalker has more RBI, more runs, more HRs, better WAR. Who do you want up with a righty with a wipe out slider on the mound? I think the cards’ brass knows.

Re: How much longer are they going to stick with Burleson?
He was better in April this year than last year. Then he had a .780 OPS in his first full month after April last year. I’d still give him time. He’s not even 23 yet.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 14:25 pmWalker has a brief shining year his rookie year...been an abomination since. You (bleep) right!
Re: How much longer are they going to stick with Burleson?
Herrera is raking in his rehab.
Why is he still down on the farm?
Let him DH up here while he's rehabbing.
