How much longer are they going to stick with Burleson?

Post by CrownRoyalCaramel »

His slugging is just preposterously bad. 3 doubles on the season and no homers? Hasn’t homered now in like 90 games? It’s time to try someone else. Anyone.

The problem so far, is that no one has stepped up and rooted him out of his spot. Expect that to change when Herrera returns.

His last homer was on August 17 which was his 237th game in the MLB. He is now at game 304, so 67 games without a homer. 218 ABs if I figured it right. The OP had the number of games wrong but still concerning.

Walker has more RBI, more runs, more HRs, better WAR. Neither has been anywhere close to good offensively. But one has more upside and is like 3 years younger.

Who do you want up with a righty with a wipe out slider on the mound? I think the cards’ brass knows.

He was better in April this year than last year. Then he had a .780 OPS in his first full month after April last year. I’d still give him time. He’s not even 23 yet.

Herrera is raking in his rehab.
Why is he still down on the farm?
Let him DH up here while he's rehabbing.
