All three are more than deserving, I'm a big thumbs up to this class!

For one my all-time favorite player as a kid Vince Coleman. I hate to say it, but he did not do enough to be put in. Same with Herr. Tudor is pushing it as well. I know he turned it down but Freese really was an example of watering it down.sp25 wrote: ↑02 May 2025 23:04 pmSuch as?Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑02 May 2025 22:50 pmIt should not be the level of Cooperstown, but they have severely watered it down. I don’t get people thinking cardinals hall of famers should have regular hall of fame numbers in order to get in
Just because of player is more recognized somewhere else doesn’t mean they’re ineligible for the team Hall of Fame.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑03 May 2025 09:44 amFor one my all-time favorite player as a kid Vince Coleman. Like I said there are guys who did not make the Hall of Fame who were deserving.
Edmonds, Forsch and McGee are extremely worthy. Simmons took forever to get into the Hall of Fame. I thought he was extremely worthy when he wasn’t a baseball Hall of Famer.
Oquendo I put into a different class, as a player no but his overall contribution as a player and coach I had less of an issue with it.
There are guys in the Hall Of Fame who I would consider saying no to for the Cardinals Hall of Fame. Carlton is more recognized as a Phillie, I would not vote him in. Torre I am on the fence on. He was good while he was here, but most of his legacy was built in other places.
The real Hall of Fame has a gift shop too.nighthawk wrote: ↑03 May 2025 06:57 amHere's the difference between the MLB HOF & the Cardinal HOF.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑02 May 2025 18:54 pmHall of famers no. The MLB HOF has information about who is enshrined on its web site. https://baseballhall.org/
The Cardinal HOF has no information on who is enshrined on its web site, but has lots of info what you can purchase for exorbitant prices. https://www.mlb.com/cardinals/cardinals ... and-museum
One is a real HOF. The other is just a store.
I would put him in the Reds, Phillies not so much. But the fun is debating a players worthiness.ecleme22 wrote: ↑03 May 2025 09:52 amJust because of player is more recognized somewhere else doesn’t mean they’re ineligible for the team Hall of Fame.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑03 May 2025 09:44 amFor one my all-time favorite player as a kid Vince Coleman. Pete Rose is more recognized as a red, but I would definitely put him in the Philly Hall of Fame

That was a fantastic moment!OldRed wrote: ↑04 May 2025 09:46 am One of Hrabosky's best:
After the first three batters of the ninth inning reached, putting the go-ahead run on third base, Al Hrabosky knew he needed to tap into something primal to escape the jam against the defending World Series champion Cincinnati Reds.
“I talk to the gypsy war gods,” he explained afterward. “I work myself into a controlled rage.”[1]
On May 9, 1977, Hrabosky and his gypsy war gods responded, striking out George Foster, Johnny Bench, and Bob Bailey to escape the ninth inning unscathed. After a game-saving play at the plate stopped the Reds in the top of the 10th, Ted Simmons homered in the bottom of the inning to give Hrabosky and the Cardinals a 6-5 win.
I'm ok with Torre being in, because he was both player and manager here.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑03 May 2025 09:44 amFor one my all-time favorite player as a kid Vince Coleman. He's the last of the
