They might actually gel as a team. Saggese actually producing some, so Dewitt can't have that. Send him down and bring up a castoff they can drag the offense down with. We have to lose this year. It's on purpose. Next thing will be to send down another productive player and bring Fernandez back up after he gets a few outs against minor league hitters. LOL

If I were running the club, Baker would be down instead of Saggese. I would put Saggese in to pinch hit over Baker no matter what pitcher. But it will all sort out fairly quickly. Saggese will either be back up or there will be some sort of trade. We have a lot of 2B men and he is a victim of numbers. If Nado had been traded it would be easier to sort because Donnie or Gorman can play 3B. Not at the defensive level of Nado, but we are "resetting" anyway. Until Marmol is gone and Bloom running the ship, it will be a bit rudderless. There are some good pieces here for the longer term. Saggese will get his shot or be traded and it will happen within the year most likely.

Resetting? You mean tanking don't you? It's a cheap tank, but a tank nonetheless. When you cheap out it's hurts the fans. They decided to get cheap on pitching and it's going to show. In baseball, you can build your team for speed and/or power but if you can't pitch at a high level you will struggle. Pitching is 80% of baseball.
