Didn’t he give up 1 run in 6 innings in his first start got lit up
His second start 3 runs in 5 innings this start against a good team? I’m no Mikolas fan but I think he’s earned a couple of more starts anyway he won’t be released until at least the halfway point that’s how Mo rolls
Huh?
Mikolas gave up 2 runs in 5.1 IP vs the Twins and then 9 R/8 ER in 2.2 IP vs the Red Sox. Then 3 runs in 5 innings vs the Phillies.
He’s been bad enough the last 2 years that he shouldn’t have been in the rotation to begin with anyways.

He hasn't really earned much of the benefit of the doubt, but 16M gets you that.
When you realize Marmot and Blake are in the malfunction called decision making, MM in the starting lineup makes sense.
In MLB be hard pressed to find two other people in similar positions who are as incompetent and unqualified. You have to perceive the issue, create solutions, and implement. Not to be found with that duo.
MM is stealing his paycheck from Cards. Nickle and diming issues creates more issues than you started. Trying to determine the optimum financial time to dump MM is wasting time and adds negativity to team - the players know he is a liability. Call up McG, he is a gamer, and see how it works out.

At least when Waino was gifted his 2023 contract he had helped the team win two world series and had been a huge force for positive. Mikolas outside of 2018 and to a lesser extent 2022 is forgettable and he sure isn't a clubhouse leader.
