Really good points, both of them.

I have a hard time putting a ceiling on this kid but let's just say he has of late met or exceeded expectations, and not just goal scoring.

Could he be the missing center for next year?
He plays the game like a center already. Just doesnt take the faceoffs. I doubt it happens, but with how hungry he has been to improve maybe he gets back to working on his center game. Holloway-bolduc- kyrou would be scary if that happened. With that tenacity that line would be a forechecking nightmare for opponents. Again not saying this is realistic. Just that bolduc’s work ethic shows of someone that could do it.

This dude is turning into a force right in front of our eyes. Another dimension we didn't have. That slot player that snipes at will. Turns our PP into another headache for the other team. Hits too. Enjoy the progression.

Ignore the awards.
Ovechkin didn't win the Calder either.
I believe he did Taf or am I missing the blue font ;-)?
They were talking about it on the radio broadcast last night. I was only half listening, but I think what they said was Ovi was first overall the one year, but what would have been his rookie was wiped out by the lockout. Crosby was first overall the next year, so they were rookies together. Crosby had over 100 points but lost the Calder to Ovechkin.

If we have monty all year i believe bolduc wins it hands down. Look for 25-27 next year. Hope 50-60 pt depending how lines shake up. 3rd line might be really fun next year.
I think the Blues will roll three lines with each forward scoring a minimum of 50 points.

I heard it wrong, thanks for the correction, I thought it was the other way around. Both with over 100 with Ovie being the runner up.

For the record, Bolduc is not technically a rookie this year and wouldn’t be eligible. He played 25 NHL games last season, which is the exact number that makes it count as his rookie season.

Agreed that if he had played all season with Monty he’d warrant at least being in the conversation. He has really come into his own.

The Blues hitting on all of Neighbours, Bolduc, Snuggerud (seemingly), and then adding Holloway via trade has been huge. It’s such a big influx of young talent. All while knowing we still have Dvorsky coming up as well.

Once DD works his way in the Blues will have a core of forwards all under 30.
