Wouldnt be a bad idea. I think we might be facing a lefty monday so we should try to get gorman in tomorrow since he likely doesnt start vs lefty. Monday baker probably subs in for burly. Get gorman another start for someone else on tuesdaywkycards wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 19:41 pmYea, I agree about Baker.
I think we could see Noot in RF and Donny in LF and Gorman at 2B and sit Walker against Ober tomorrow.

Who is he replacing in the field? Lol11WSChamps wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 19:21 pm Frankly if Gorman isn't at least playing against RH pitching than what is his role on this team.
Certainly isn't going to excel as a part time player or late inning defensive replacement.
Might as well let him play at Memphis until something shakes out with Scott, Walker and Burleson.

What has UniKKKorn done to deserve any ABs at MLB level?

He made the team. Like it or not, it's in the teams best interest to get the bench some playing time. Pretty much the same thing every major league team does.

He's still just 24. He's the second youngest Cardinal to 50 hr, behind only Albert.RamFan08NY wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 21:21 pmHe made the team. Like it or not, it's in the teams best interest to get the bench some playing time. Pretty much the same thing every major league team does.

Walker probably gets the day off after getting hit in the wrist.

Think before posting.

Since this is game three of the season, I doubt you see a true Sunday alt lineup.

The point is in it's a semi regular part time role.Wattage wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 20:39 pmEvery day players wont play every single day. Donovan will start 145 games at most. Probably at least 20 games off. And he will play other positions too as he is our backup ss, 3b(unless gorman plays 3b instead) , backup outfielder, etc. Gorman will dh when burly backs up 1b or dh when burly gets day off. There is plenty of playing time for a regulars worth of at bats as the 1st bench player if he starts every time noot donovan arenado gorman contreral burly or walker gets an off day. Tommy edman was in regular rotation without having position before. Sonwas donovan. While gorman wont be rotating as many positions as donovan did then, donovan will be rotating around the field allowing gorman to play at 2b.11WSChamps wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 19:43 pmWe know Donovan is going to play everyday.
Scott is giving us a glimpse at what kind of impact he can bring with his speed if he can continue to get on base and if Nootbar remains healthy I just don't see where Gorman can find any kind of rhythm at the plate.
Burleson obviously has won over Oli and MO and will get every chance to get his AB's.
Send Gorman to Memphis and let him play everyday and if he does take off maybe he increase his value if the team wants to shop him as part of a deal or one of the other players who are currently blocking his playing time.
That can't be what anyone believes is in the best interest of Gorman reaching his potential as a player or value as a possible trade piece.
I don't believe at the time people saw Edman's ceiling to be anywhere near Gormans.
Re: Curious to see Oli's 1st Sunday lineup tomorrow
Why should Burly play 3 days in a row? He's 0 for 2 games now.

This will be Lil oli's first test of the season. Has he developed as a manager? Or will he revert back to accepting whatever nonsensical lineup Mo & the game strategist spit out?
Hopefully, he sticks with the 8 position players he's used so far. I could live with Gorman at DH tomorrow.

Pardon me. Burly is actually 1-7.
Re: Curious to see Oli's 1st Sunday lineup tomorrow
Gorman needs ar bats so he needs to sub in for some people time to time. But we should keep bench short. Siani for defensive replacement only and baker for leftys only.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025 00:40 am This will be Lil oli's first test of the season. Has he developed as a manager? Only gorman gets to be part of rotation in. And unless herrera needs rest, i dont want too many pages starts

I have no issue with a get away lineup when you win the first 2 of a 3 game series. If you continue winning these series, you end up with 100+ wins, while giving role and bench players exposure and others some rest.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025 00:40 am This will be Lil oli's first test of the season. Not sure how they can proclaim to play Gorman and Walker in ‘25 to give the chance without looking over shoulder……and then not play him….
