Curious to see Oli's 1st Sunday lineup tomorrow
There's not much he can do with this bench. Maybe Gorman for Burly, or Pages at catcher.
He's been notorious for Sunday and travel day lineups, will he keep this lineup rolling.
The way I see it, the 8 that's been playing will be playing everyday.

I think the pitching matchup favors the twinkies. Possibly Burleson at first and Gorman dh. But I would bet he rolls the same lineup out again.

Play the ‘hot hand’ . Go for the sweep with same guys.
Call me superstitious but I am not messing with the guys nor the lineup til winning streak ends .
Milk it til someone beats you.

Would it completely shock you?
It wouldn't me judging by the past.

Gorman is going to bat twice in the lineup playing 2nd and hitting DH? It bad enough we have to watch him once through the lineup.

Frankly if Gorman isn't at least playing against RH pitching than what is his role on this team.
Certainly isn't going to excel as a part time player or late inning defensive replacement.
Might as well let him play at Memphis until something shakes out with Scott, Walker and Burleson.

Baker i assume will be a vs left handed pitchers only substitution.
Gorman should substitute in and get some playing time from time to time.
Re: Curious to see Oli's 1st Sunday lineup tomorrow
Yea, I agree about Baker.
I think we could see Noot in RF and Donny in LF and Gorman at 2B and sit Walker against Ober tomorrow.
Re: Curious to see Oli's 1st Sunday lineup tomorrow
Most out starters will not play over 137 games. Donovan will rotate in the field If you add the off days of burleson, donovan, arenado, contreras, nootbaar, walker, and winn- that equals 175 different offdays. Some of those players will be off on same day and some vs lefties but still its easy to get gorman 120 starts from that. There will be plenty of playing time for him as first man off bench.11WSChamps wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 19:21 pm Frankly if Gorman isn't at least playing against RH pitching than what is his role on this team.

We know Donovan is going to play everyday.
Scott is giving us a glimpse at what kind of impact he can bring with his speed if he can continue to get on base and if Nootbar remains healthy I just don't see where Gorman can find any kind of rhythm at the plate.
Burleson obviously has won over Oli and MO and will get every chance to get his AB's.
Send Gorman to Memphis and let him play everyday and if he does take off maybe he increase his value if the team wants to shop him as part of a deal or one of the other players who are currently blocking his playing time.

Gotta get the bench in from time to time. I expect to see Gorman playing tomorrow, and I have no problem with that if he's DHing. Need to keep him engaged.

You can count on a stupid move like sitting Herrera
Re: Curious to see Oli's 1st Sunday lineup tomorrow
Every day players wont play every single day. Donovan will start 145 games at most. Probably at least 20 games off. And he will play other positions too as he is our backup ss, 3b(unless gorman plays 3b instead) , backup outfielder, etc. Gorman will dh when burly backs up 1b or dh when burly gets day off. There is plenty of playing time for a regulars worth of at bats as the 1st bench player if he starts every time noot donovan arenado gorman contreral burly or walker gets an off day. Tommy edman was in regular rotation without having position before. Sonwas donovan. While gorman wont be rotating as many positions as donovan did then, donovan will be rotating around the field allowing gorman to play at 2b.11WSChamps wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 19:43 pmWe know Donovan is going to play everyday.
