I’ve come around a bit on Torts. Used to hate the guy but at least he’s honest and fights for his players. And he’s not bad in the Xs and Os department either. He can be grating though and is best for an established team. The Flyers have some good pieces coming up but agree he’s not the right fit for them right now.

True. All three of those were more than 20 years ago.
I don't think he's that coach anymore. Maybe he'll get another shot and prove me wrong. I have nothing against the guy, but his reputation was tarnished from his time in Vancouver.

If you're not gonna win big in Philly not sure you really want to be there.

One of the last places I'd want to be coaching/managing.

No, Torts actually coached a team to a Stanley Cup. Messier has said several times that the players (started by himself) stopped listening to anything he said. Mess told him to shut up and stand there. I don't know who sent out the line changes, but that's Mark Messier's claim.
