The time he's getting playing is taking away from other options. Hell, move Noot to center and play any of the young options in left. Koperniak, Church, or put Donovan in left and try Prieto at 2nd. Siani is a dead spot in the lineup. He couldn't hang in Cincy and his offense is dragging down the Cards too. Please, enough with the Siani playing time.
Do people need to explain ST to you?
Was it ST when he played last year? S[top] T[hose] F[raudulent] U[tterances]
Apparently people do need to explain ST. How'd VS2 do last year in ST and then at MLB?
LOL...comparing the very talented Scott with a castoff from Cincy. You're brilliant. Scott has more talent on his worst day than Siani will have in his entire career. One needs to play and one needs to be gone. Which would you choose?
Reading is hard, but comprehension beyond you...I can't help you.

Good luck with that... I'll type slower next time
Don't denigrate yourself, you're plenty slow. Anybody who's a proponent of Siani starting in CF needs their meds adjusted.
Has scouty done that?

I've never been proposing he start in CF. They just lie and make [shirt] up...

Most times Cardinals look in the mirror and select who gets their favor. They make up their minds beforehand and rather than admit that they are wrong, they blindly go ahead and make a bad decision. There hitting has not been good for the majority of Spring Training. Yet they are counting on Siani. Why? No offense to him personally, but he needed 3-hits the last two days just to have 4 total hits. Huh? Frankly, he should be cut. Furthermore, they put him and Scott together and bat them at the bottom of the order. How does that help Scott? One of his best attributes is stealing bases. Who bats ahead of him? Nolan Gorman. Are they counting on him striking out? Otherwise, Scott's best skill is thwarted and boxed in and out. Certainly, helps his career. Trade Scott. He will say the appropriate things on his way out the door but be elated that he is going elsewhere.

Every team needs a good glove man they can send out in the 7th inning, to help hold leads

He’s cheap and doesn’t complain

Hes the underachiever type this city adores (mc Ewing , Bo Hart etc)

The 314 gets their insufferable little mascot

It’s not a meritocracy under Mo

It’s the path of least resistance

Well, MS is a really good defender, playing a position that the cards are thin at.

I don’t see the ‘love.’

Koperniak is a good outfielder! Not as good as Siani, but he’s above average on defense, and guess what, he can also HIT!

This team cannot afford to use a roster spot for a defensive specialist. That luxury is reserved for good hitting teams that have leads to protect.

He should not be an option. If he's the option because someone else is hurt, it means we have no viable option and need to make a quick trade for at least a journeyman replacement like Grichuk.

Siani is insurance against Scott struggling again.
STL appears to want to hang onto Siani because they have no others viable CF glove if Scott stumbles out of the gate.
But, since Scott's floor is Siani's ceiling, it is an insurance policy with no dividend.

Agreed. I'm sure Siani is a great guy but he has no business anywhere near the plate. I wouldn't doubt him being the worst hitter on the team, pitchers included. Scott should be in the 1 or 2 spot and given the opportunity to fail over the season. If he gets on at a decent clip it could jump start the entire offense. Look what Vince Coleman meant to those Cards teams in the 80's. Gorman should bat at the bottom of the order until he can prove that he can make contact. They also need to get him to hit to all fields instead of trying to pop homers all the time. Gotta him away until pitchers try to bring the ball in to you. Also tell him to lay off of the off speed stuff in the dirt. Until then he'll be no better than present day Matt Carpenter. Refusing to make adjustments.

I’m assuming Siani has options left?
If so....it would be nice if they could stash him at Memphis for emergencies.
Don’t know how AAA roster will be set?
Love his defense.
Also too bad he doesn’t hit RH. Team has too many LH bats.
Wish Koperniak hit RH.
Probably also a matter of time before Noot falls off the toilet and gets injured.
