Yeah… like… they had a good run for awhile, but to go out like this, and allow this to be your legacy… is so apathetic and uninspiring. He’ll probably still act surprised at fans being aggravated with him because, well, He. Doesn’t. Get. Come to think of it... the White Sox may be an actual fart parade. Have you seen their projected opening day rotation? My god.![]()
If Mo wants to preserve some kind of [fork]ing legacy, he COULD have his own Brock for Broglio, Bagwell for Anderson, or Smoltz for Alexander. Instead we have the fart parade.

Re: Mo dumps 'reset' ..it's now a 'transition'
That's one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever read. It may be the case for a few rare, multi-generational "old money" sociopaths, but the majority of people with wealth acquired it by understanding the needs and desires of common man. Most rich people I know go out of their way to try and help show those less fortunate how to build wealth.Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 16:11 pmThe sooner that people realize that rich people hate regular people, and really, really hate poor people, the better off we'll all be.An Old Friend wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 15:40 pmYeah... I mean... I think ownership completely lost it as it pertains to attendance and viewership declines. They saw that and decided, "well, if you're not going to come, we're not going to invest in the team"... when this fanbase CLEARLY attends and watches when they feel like ownership is TRYING TO WIN.
I don't know why they lost their way, but they did without a doubt.
As for most of the replies to this thread, what a bunch of emotionally-driven fallasies of logic. The organization's pivot occurred when the new TV deal eliminated a large degree of cost uncertainty.
Re: Mo dumps 'reset' ..it's now a 'transition'
"In Mo's Sunday press conference in Jupiter, he tells media that he used the term 'reset' as he didn't wish to use 'rebuild ' . "
Shocked and appalled. Feel so betrayed by the ONE ownership person who has never lied to fans. Always was straight shooter and told the fans the truth no matter what. What is this world coming to???

Fedde and Helsley? Were any attempts made to move their best trade chips? Maybe with them Arwanado would be gone as well. There are no spots for any “young” players to play. The rotation is full with Gray Fedde Mikolas Matz and Pallante. 1B was taken by Contreras. I guess 1 bench spot opened up. This is the same bad team as last 2 seasons with nothing to look forward too. They had a chance to sell fans on “youth movement” but this is not one of those.hilton head is 4 idiots wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 15:32 pmYep. Helsely is the best closer in the league. A GM who worked for a living might be able to get something good in trade.thetank2 wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 18:30 pmWhy trade them when we would get very little?Youboughtit wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 18:20 pmFedde and Helsley? It’s funny that some of the same people that say helsely is too valuable to the team and it’s potential to win at the same time say he’s worthless and no one will trade anything for himDicktar2023 wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 18:46 pmHelsely is the best closer in the league. 224 days until the clown can't parse his words. LOL. Mo failed this off season with Objecitve 1, 2 & 3. Now he wants to change the venacular to say this is a transition. Nothing changes with Mo.
Re: Mo dumps 'reset' ..it's now a 'transition'
No he won't. The last time we got a good prospect was David Freese and a better one in Wainwright.Dicktar2023 wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 18:46 pmHelsely is the best closer in the league. You may be right like you pointed out Mo is incompetent the last good prospect he traded for was freese so he would probably blow it with helsely alsothetank2 wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 19:49 pmNo he won't. Re: Mo dumps 'reset' ..it's now a 'transition'
I think Winn gets close to last years numbers but doesn’t take the next step (power). Walker is a .275 20HR 75RBI serviceable hitter. Areanado is a below average 3B hitter. Gorman hits 30HR but has a 30-35% K rate. Contreras is the best hitter but misses 30-40 games. The problem is the pitching. Gray will get 12 or more wins but Fedde will be his career numbers which are horrendous and Mikolas and Matz will be just good enough to block all the young arms keeping them in AAA. Basically last year and the “youth” they want to see is only Hererra Gorman and Walker which are known commodities at this point. The defense with Noot in CF Gorman at 2B Hererra at C Contreras at 1B and Walker in RF is atrocioushilton head is 4 idiots wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 21:13 pmThank you.Youboughtit wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 20:32 pm72-75 winshilton head is 4 idiots wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 20:21 pmCare to predict their 2025 record?Youboughtit wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025 18:20 pmFedde and Helsley? I will say 88 wins.
