Ok, I thought that might be the case. I started to cut back recently with an approach that exposes more dominant relievers. An Old Friend wrote: ↑12 Jul 2024 06:58 amNo, it's innings pitched.Cool Papa Con wrote: ↑12 Jul 2024 06:46 am This is probably a “Captain Obvious” question, but are Pitchers really governed by Games Played and not Innings Pitched?
You're allowed a max of 1550 innings pitched. You've thrown 1011 and have 538 remaining, so you're projected to hit the max pretty early.

1.3 WAR in the Yankee’s bullpen by mid-July is pretty dominantQuincy Varnish wrote: ↑12 Jul 2024 11:48 amYou must mean Luke Weaver?Cool Papa Con wrote: ↑12 Jul 2024 07:09 amOk, I thought that might be the case. Ya… he’s having a nice season for them. Never thought I’d see the word “dominant” associated with Luke Weaver, but I suppose he could pass for it on paper. He doesn’t have much value in this league though, unless he starts vulturung Ws… hard to do w/ the Yankees recent suck fest.Cool Papa Con wrote: ↑12 Jul 2024 13:17 pm1.3 WAR in the Yankee’s bullpen by mid-July is pretty dominantQuincy Varnish wrote: ↑12 Jul 2024 11:48 amYou must mean Luke Weaver?Cool Papa Con wrote: ↑12 Jul 2024 07:09 amOk, I thought that might be the case. Ace can be a subjective term.
Open to dealing a Starter or 2. Make me an offer.
Will take a look at your team to see if a fit.

I have aces and you have Bryce Harper. Let me know what that deal looks like.Cool Papa Con wrote: ↑26 Jul 2024 05:58 am Looking for an Ace-type and I’ve got a lot of options to deal w/guys coming off the IL
Re: CT Fantasy Baseball - Interested?
Since the big Albies trade with Quincy, I've dropped from 8th to 15th.
Makes me nervous to deal anyone but I'll respond to the offers I received later today.

Albies is out for the season with a wrist fracture. Your ROS projections are much better than they would have been without that trade

What would you be interested in obtaining? A position, a stat?Dazepster wrote: ↑26 Jul 2024 07:54 amCool Papa Con wrote: ↑26 Jul 2024 05:58 am Looking for an Ace-type and I’ve got a lot of options to deal w/guys coming off the IL

I’ve not had much luck. Good scenarios have come and gone that I hadn’t thought to part with nor pursue.

Re: CT Fantasy Baseball - Interested?
I’m giving thought to a potential roster expansion, possibly in mid-August. We would be adding two additional bench spots + maybe an NA spot, which could be used to stash potential September call ups. The NA spot is also useable for suspended players, or those on emergency leave.
Pros -
- more space to roster a backup catcher
- opportunity to add additional SP, for those who have fallen behind the IP pace
- reduced need for daily roster fidgeting
- more cowbell
Cons -
- not sure
AOF does not like this idea, because something. Curious what the rest of you think…

Re: CT Fantasy Baseball - Interested?
I would vote against. Managers should have been managing their rosters all season with an eye toward maximizing their use of position player starts (162) and innings pitched (1550). If they have not, why should they be rewarded now by an opportunity to play catch up with an expanded roster?Quincy Varnish wrote: ↑01 Aug 2024 04:58 am I’m giving thought to a potential roster expansion, possibly in mid-August. If you make that change, 2/3 of the teams won't be paying immediate attention anyway, so the top 1/3 of the teams in the league will likely snap up the top 15-20 available players and just get marginally stronger.
