I’m kind of shocked how little players I’ve retained (12) from the Draft

1. (14) Yordan Alvarez OF - Traded
2. (17) Bryce Harper 1B
3. (44) Royce Lewis 3B
4. (47) Grayson Rodriguez SP
5. (74) Alex Bregman 3B
6. (77) Camilo Doval P
7. (104) Evan Phillips P
8. (107) Yainer Diaz C,1B
9. (134) Michael King SP - Traded
10. (137) Bailey Ober SP
11. (164) Jackson Chourio OF (Traded Away, Added from FA)
12. (167) Kyle Bradish SP - Released, IL (Tommy John)
13. (194) Edouard Julien 2B - Released
14. (197) Jarred Kelenic OF - Released
15. (224) Zach Neto SS - Released
16. (227) Heston Kjerstad OF - Released 2x
17. (254) Kutter Crawford SP
18. (257) MJ Melendez C,OF - Released
19. (284) Masyn Winn SS
20. (287) Matt Wallner OF - Released
21. (314) Parker Meadows OF - Released
22. (317) Cody Bradford SP
23. (344) Chase Silseth SP - Released, IL (Tommy John)
24. (347) A.J. Minter P - Released
25. (374) Matt Brash P - Released
26. (377) Orlando Arcia SS - Released

I basically wasted my last 6 Picks, especially since Bradford’s been on the IL since the 2nd week of April

It’s standard to not get much value out of your late round picks, especially in a deep league. I usually use the last few rounds to pick up potential closers that end up useless.

Think I only have 5 or 6 players remaining from the draft and half of them are injured, hehe 😳

Sure, but how many did you out-right Trade or include in a Trade vs Release?

Not many, but at a certain point in the draft I started to think about potential trade pieces more than specific slots/stats I needed to fill. Thought I had a good blueprint of what I could draft in every round, but was missing on almost everyone I wanted.

I’m at 11 - not counting Henry Davis since I dropped him but added back later.

Only Fedde (21) was useful from my 17th round on.

Our Goldschmidt owner was hoping I was a fanboy when he offered him straight up for Naylor.
You could have pushed them to add on Holliday
I really missed an opportunity there.
Think I could trade him for Goldschmidt?

I was mostly going to do that because I thought I’d easily pick him back up off the waiver wire. I dumped Julien instead. I can’t be penalized twice for that

With drafting 26, seems like it is working out to be about:

- Last nine picks you figure are going to get dropped at some point to turn over the roster throughout the year
- Of the middle eight picks, you hope half work out to be keepers
- And you expect your top nine picks to be the core of your roster

Of course, of even the ~13 picks you keep to be core/keeper players, maybe you trade them for another core/keeper player for value.

I have 11 left from my draft, lost one (Acuna) to injury, and traded two or three who would otherwise have been "keepers."

I’m not shocked that people are reluctant to trade for current and/or former Cubs.

The only one you were able to successfully get rid of (Bryant) was the one you literally gave away.

I haven’t offered up Schwarber or Steele… rejected numerous offers for them. If you’d asked for TGKS in the Alvarez trade, you would still have Alvarez.

Yeah, he can be an AVG killer… but he adds elite-level HR/RBI/R to make up for it. He’s kind of an underappreciated fantasy player, until you have him on your roster.

This is probably a “Captain Obvious” question, but are Pitchers really governed by Games Played and not Innings Pitched?

No, it's innings pitched.

You're allowed a max of 1550 innings pitched. You've thrown 1011 and have 538 remaining, so you're projected to hit the max pretty early.
