Configuration of the "Mac, Mac, Buch" Line

Post by Harry York 37 »

Mac, Mac, Buch.... I like the sound, that's for sure.

From what I see, and trust, McMichael has gotta be the 2C.
It doesn't matter if McTavish prefers Center- this combination is far better in every way.

I hope Mason takes this in stride and helps this line become one of the better second lines in the league, and the strongest we've seen in a good while.

from what i've read, McMichael is much better as a winger.

and from what videos I've watched, McTavish doesn't strike me as a C

McMichael probably is better as a winger. However, his skills match up far better on this team- and with these linemates- as a Center. He is much faster that Mason, is a better playmaker, and is much more defensively reliable.
McTavish is a born winger- strong ferocious and a better finisher that Connor.
Swapping 'em up seems very prudent.

I want a Mickey D’s line - McMichael / McTavish/ Dvorsky. I don’t care who plays center and defense be damned - they’ll put up points

If we are depending on flipping McT and McMichael for the 2nd line C position, the season is going to be a long one.

You could always line Buch up as the C!

As Bullwinkle's pal sez
"don't disagree"

The key is McMicheal as 2c
DVO in that line gives them a lethal right side shot.

Is the third line Neighbours, Suter, and Buch?

I see zero evidence to support that dread.

Yeah - that’s my line of thinking

Alright...you are a step ahead of me, then, Moriarity.
This works best in a couple of ways.

That is three kinda sorta pretty lines. Line two is very young but they all have good solid experience.
Line three is a classic checking line.
Leaving some mean ugly mugs on the fourth.

Nothing. Nothing related to this topic is likely to happen until camp, unless they trade Buchnevich.

McMichael just isn't a good C. McTavish has proven himself there so if he's being shifted to wing, something has gone awry.

So...go back to watching the draft.

Why bother posting at all... except to bring people down.
You seem practiced at it.
