Goaltending might be the hardest position in hockey to project.

A forward can score in a top league one year and it usually means something. A goalie can look unbeatable one season and shaky the next, even if nothing about his game actually changed. That’s what makes the Blues’ current group of goalie prospects so interesting to dig into. It’s not one clear franchise goalie in waiting. It’s four very different paths, at four very different stages, all worth watching for their own reasons.
