Looks like Antico and Carlos Linarez got their walking papers, too.

Shame. I had some hopes for Antico for a while.

it really started going south for him last year...no control...6 BB/9...didn't hurt his ERA, he usually found a way out of his problems....but not this year.

I guess if a team decides to go with high octane/low control pitching philosophy, they have to except a higher rate of failure from wildness. Seems like it probably goes hand in hand. Just try to work your devil magic on them(which generally speaking seems to translate to teaching a lot of them quality second offerings, with at least one second offering for a BP pitcher, and at least 2 for a starter), and if you hit on a few starters and a few BP arms, you've probably got a good staff, with ground ball/good control pitchers filling out the balance. I assume that's about the best you can hope for, and pray for good health.
